I see Craig from Anfield agenda as back tracked on Slot, definitely going at the end of the season and looking likely he'll be here come August
To me there are 2 main reasons first Slot was probably guaranteed 3 seasons if he made champions league
and secondly, we are not going to do much business.Maybe because FSG will not let Edwards and Hughes unloosen the purse strings has they made a balls up last summer, and with them having the same amount of contract as Slot a year left.
FSG don't see the point in throwing money away.

We may get a right sided attack to replace Salah, But we'll make do with Rio and Gakpo on the left.. same in midfield.. we'll keep Jones if there's no great offer for him. They'd rather let him leave for nothing, which we've seen a lot over the years

Same with Gomez, he'll stay if Konate doesn't renew his contract, which he won't.

We'll lose these players in my opinion

      Konate
      Endo
      Chiesa

Roberson and Salah are obviously going and i think Alisson as well, I think he'll probably see them 2 leaving and that will make up his mind, if it wasn't already made up

Macca will stay because we won't get enough money for him now

All the above just reinforces the view of many of us that with Slot and Hedwards still at the club we are going to struggle to make the CL qualifying places next season, never mind actually putting up any kind of serious challenge for the major trophies. If FSG think that Hedwards screwed up our player recruitment and as a result they are going to get the boot at the end of next season by which time we're likely to have lost even more of our backbone of recent years and perhaps a few other players who may well get itchy feet and try to jump ship e.g. Szoboszlai and Ngumoah, maybe they should try a different approach.

Why not just get in a manager who has the major say in terms of player recruitment, rather than having a coach which requires a special type of manager, or one of the very best to make it work, and that can still be the case even if the recruitment team are better than the idiots known as Hedwards. At the very least a manager will get in players they feel will meet their requirements and fit into the system they want to play, rather than giving them players they either don't need or don't want which is asking for trouble. There is also no guarantee that whoever FSG bring in to replace Hedwards will be any better, and if we don't immediately start addressing problem areas and replacing outgoing players this summer, we're going to regress even further, giving whoever comes in an even harder task when it comes to making us serious contenders for the major trophies.

FSG don't particularly give a shit about trophies and our style of play and effectiveness.
          We are their cash cow.
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief

Does a win keep slot in a job?
Or does another crap performance give fsg guts to get shut?
Wont happen but dont want 'boos' and chants of "slot out" at final whistle.

              Predictable I guess.
The whole situation is a mess and is in my opinion just delaying the inevitable. They're deciding to stick with a manager who has literally despite winning a league title absolutely tanked our season and broke records of the wrong kind at an alarming rate.
The squad needs additions no doubt but Iike I've said a number of times like others, he is not getting enough out of them and seeing that change is a stretch at best under him.

The fans have turned and even those who haven't completely gone against him are sceptical and the level of optimism at the start of the new season should be remain will be unbelievably low.

The biggest and most depressing worry is that there is literally not a single thing to suggest he turns this around. I honestly cannot think of any manager that has turned a team around in such a state to go onto success. Maybe someone can highlight differently?

I'll be absolutely wounded if he stays.

They look at it from the perspective of - it can hardly be much worse given the players in the squad.

Last summers signings will be in their second season and we should see a noticeable step up. Always a huge ask bringing so many in - in one go…. So expect plenty more from Kerkez - Wirtz and something…erm….anything at all from Frimpong & Isak.

Might still be a rough battle for top 4 but they calculate that it won’t be as much of a catastrophe as this season and following this detritus - hope - among some sections will be restored.

And post title Wenger Arsenal - here we come..,, The F$G target… Always.

Yep. That's exactly the situation I'm thinking too. Skimming the cream off the top. The doldrums are en route.

Imagine this, he leaves Mo out tomorrow ( something I'm thoroughly expecting him to do he's so fucking petty) and he stays on next season.
The atmosphere will be toxic, the fans will hate him and it'll be a situation entirely created by the owners.

He plays Mo and then stays is my hunch.

🚨 **BOURNEMOUTH / LIVERPOOL INSANE SCENARIO FOR TOMORROW** 🚨
If Liverpool lose 1-0 to Brentford and Bournemouth win 5-0 against Nottingham Forest, we are heading for **PREMIER LEAGUE HISTORY**.
Here is why they would be forced to play a **one-off Playoff Match** at a neutral venue to decide who finishes higher:
                        * **The Points:** Both would finish on exactly 59 points.
                        * **The Goal Difference:** Both would finish on exactly +9.
                        * **Goals Scored:** Both would finish on exactly 62 goals.
**What about Head-to-Head?** They are even tied there! Liverpool won 4-2 at Anfield, and Bournemouth won 3-2 at home. That means they took 3 points each and scored 6 goals each against each other.
Because they are deadlocked on *every single metric*, Premier League rules state they **MUST** play a playoff match to decide who gets 5th place.
                        **Why it matters:**
Because Aston Villa won the Europa League, if they drop to 5th tomorrow, then **6th place gets Champions League**. If Villa stay 4th, 5th place gets Europa League and 6th gets Conference League.
Basically, a 1-0 Liverpool loss and a 5-0 Bournemouth win sends us to a literal playoff final for European football. unreal.

We'll likely lose 0-2 rendering the whole scenario irrelevant.

We cannot lose tomorrow… A draw would be depressing but also a relief. Must not lose.

Surely the players want CL next season. The Crowd will get behind them regardless of the situation. Should be enough.

Sadly it is looking as though the Slot supporters are going to get their way and FSG it appears would rather waste next season as well rather than sack the big useless blimp.
