Nunez and Harold Wilson on free transfers would be good business and would boost the squad numbers and quality without shelling out. Leaving money for major upgrades elsewhere.
    Hopefully something comes of them.

I think we need atleast one CB, two mids and three attackers. Ideally two CBs but I don't see that happening with Leoni and Jacket coming in. Gomez likely stays now I think, I'd have thought he would leave if Konate had signed.

The Anfield wrap mentioned Guitruida. The guy we were linked with in January. Someone who can play RB and CB. I think that might be something they'll try and do.

When you say 2 mids and 3 attackers i assume you mean including backup players?
From the moment I picked your book up until I laid it down, I convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it. Groucho Marx

Aye just for squad depth. When you think at the moment we only have Rio,Gakpo and Isak up front there's a major need for reinforcing.
Id like two mids who are starters to be truthful but I know that's unlikely.
If the club are smart there's deffo some good business to be done if the money is tight. The squad depth/quality needs bringing up but then again under Iraola maybe lads like Neyoni start getting time in the pitch. If he can figure in his plans a player coming in like Wharton might be sufficient. I'm interested to see what happens with Mac. Is he past it or was last season just a very bad one for him?

My lad is pro Wirtz (poor misguided fool) and I asked this question of him yesterday when he was busy bringing in a 6 and Adam Wharton.

So if we’re playing Arsenal, City, Utd or Villa on Saturday and you have to play 3 of Dom, Wharton, Gravenberch, the new 6 and Wirtz … who’s starting?

Aye I asked my pal that the other day. I wonder if Wirtz figures. Did Bournemouth play with a 10 type player? Don't recall them doing so.
Unless Wirtz could play on the right like he did at Bayer?

Korupi played both as the 10 and a 9. They set up with both 4231 and 442.

As a minimum, we need to replace those that have left, or a leaving.

I think it will be something along the lines of -

                    Salah > Barcola or Diamonde
                    Robbo > Tsimikas
                    Konate > Collins or Lecroix

                    Chiesa > Bowen
                    MacAlistair > Wharton

Ekitike > Maybe a loan for a forward or a winger who can play out wide? Nunez?

I think Frimpong will start at FB next season and we'll wait for Bradley to be fit.

                    Ali
                    Frimpong - Collins - VVD - Kerkez
                    Szobo - Wharton
                    Diomande - Wirtz - Isak - Gakpo

                    Marma
                    Bradley - Jacquet - Leoni - Tsimikas
                    Grav - Jones
                    Bowen - Elliot - Nunez - Rio

                    Gomez
                    Endo
                    Nyoni
                    Woodman

Something like £40m in and £220m out - £180m outlay.

Sounds good - I do worry about Bradley.. Feel for the lad - he needs a good stretch now without another break down

He's recovering well according to the Norn Irreland manager. But yes, he needs a proper run of games. Fully fit, he'll be first choice absolutely no doubt.

Id be happy with Barcola,Collin's or Lacroix. Wharton and Bowen. That would be great business.

I've been impressed with Collins when I've watched Brentford.
If we do manage to sign Wharton I don't see us also getting Lacroix but I like him too. We were linked with him when he was at Wolfsburg ( I think).
I think Barcola would be a big coup despite him not being a starter. There'll be competition for him if he's available.
