In the 1970s my Dad was left £300 in a will. 40 years later it was revealed that the solicitor had made an error and had put the decimal point in the wrong place. It should have been £3000. Back then that would have bought you a modest house. This only came to light after the solicitor died and they discovered a trail of other 'errors' he had made (all in his favour). My Dad was eventually paid the £2700 but it wasn't adjusted for inflation. Could have changed his life but hey ho.

In 1982

I wonder how much money he made for himself with all those deliberate mistakes.
Back then and beyond unsuspecting law abiding people who place their trust in people like that will have lost tons and they'll never know.

Been walking a dog recently, and I'm finding the state of the streets absolutely atrocious.
I live in the UK and its crazy how bad the streets have become. I don't know if it's recent, or has it been going on for decades? Does nobody in the UK have any pride in where they live? Anyone else find this, or is it just in my area? Is there no way of cleaning it up? There's litter fecking everywhere, and part of where I walk there's half a bathroom suite dumped by the side of the road.

Unfortunately I think this is just part of the societal breakdown. I'm from the North East, which has its rough parts but is/was very community driven. You knew everybody in your street, families all lived close and nobody had two pennies to rub together but the streets and town were clean (ish).

People just honestly don't give a shit today.

Wooly/Flimsy education over the last 20 years has playe a massive part in this I think.

All I seem to see on the streets now are raggers, smackheads and mentally unhinged.

I've actually met and spoke with the beaten finalist Jak Jones....His mother used to foster cats for a local cat rescue my now ex girlfriend volunteered for....Nice family..

Currently someone i know, is in japan at the moment and watching gigs, he's not worked for years, sorry "They" decided suddenly change at start of year.... on pip can travel, can go out drinking but can't work, alright.

I'm not surprised my place recruit agency only these days, they employed english people and most got sacked...... mean while you don't see people from africa/eastern european get sacked often, and are good workers.
