Could be, though I sincerely doubt that's reflective of the man's actual views. He's a clever politician and a great actor. In any case, if he chooses not to import what little highly qualified professionals countries like mine can still give the world, it's his loss and Germany's gain.

I feel like one of the core issues for Brexit was exactly immigration, but I'm not certain that leaving the EU will fix whatever grievances people have with it.

Self-interest for him and his 1% cronies. The "everyday" people who voted for him will be the first that will be driven into the dirt. He's a cunt.

Spot on Vin, Tories are and always have been an absolute shower of cunts, all the knobs who voted for them because Johnson and Farage managed to convince a load of them that all their problems were caused by the EU rather than 40 years of the social and economic model the Tories put in place in the early 80's are in for a huge fucking shock. And what's more, with that majority, they've given the cunt carte blanche the morons, he can do what the fuck he likes for 5 years now

Edit: Just read that back and remembered another point, millions of 'the idiots' don't even know or realise Parliament works on majorities, I kid you not, I spoke to and encountered loads of people who wouldn't vote to save the NHS because "if Tories tried to privatise it other parties could just stop them like with Brexit" I shit you not

Had another few examples I came across in twitter about how politically thick some people in the UK are, loads of them voted for change because of what had happened to their town because it had a Labour MP for 25 years, they don't even understand how Parliament and funding fucking works for fucks sake, fucking unbelievable! I held back on calling people thick for a long time, but if we have millions of thick cunts voting who don't even realise it's the government in power that determines the UK's policies and funding that affect their town, no wonder we're in the shit

            • Anybody who thinks that any major party or politician cares about 'us' is as best naive, and at worst has either a blinkered/entrenched view or is an idiot.

Politicians do not care about anybody other than their own interests and their social/employment circle. They are one and the same. As I said before, they are the same type of predator who just happen to wear slightly different disguises.

All of them I'd agree with, except a socialist Labour party, unfortunately there are still a number of MPs left in it who signed up for the gravy train politics you speak about, but there's a hardcore of 40-50 socialist MPs who ARE actually in politics for the right reasons

Well, there's a very long list of everything it gave us in the UK, the NHS, free education, low cost energy, trains, etc etc etc, our issue is that we pay far more for all of it (our taxes) including what our bills used to be because of the incredible additional costs of privatisation AND the twats then give us a grossly inflated bill on top of that to add insult to injury

Tories have bankrupted the UK by stealth, they talk about Labour blah blah blah, Privatisation, Tax cuts and tax evasion costs the public purse well in excess of 300 billion a year under the Tories, they borrowed 500 billion in 9 years just to fund our public services at austerity levels ffs! It's not that they are unsustainable, it's that the huge excesses of privatisation have inflated the cost of running them massively AND it means that for public services like water and rail and energy billions of profits that could go back into improving them and into the public purse are lost to shareholders

We still own and pay for all the infrastructure, maintenance and upgrading of all our public services, the privatisation element of them is essentially a private company acting as a management company creaming all the profits off the top and sub contracting to companies they have vested interests in to carry out all the maintenance and contracts all at hugely inflated prices, it's a fucking MASSIVE swindle

Just one example, since 2010 Tories have increased the cost of administrating the NHS from 5% to 20%, everyone who works in the service says it's entirely unnecessary and makes the service run less efficiently, it costs 25 billion a year to taxpayers! And it's not even necessary, it's a mobster style type of money laundering, stealing tax payers money and as much of it as possible out of the system and giving it to shareholders and moving it into offshore accounts

It's like Goodfellas when they take over the Bamboo Hut or whatever the restaurant is called, when they charge everything to the restaurant, until it goes bust, then burn it to the ground

                    And people fucking vote for these criminals? :eek;

The only labour government we have had recently that I can recall, was Tony B Liar. Other than that I hope I am right in saying previous Labour governments have been socialist in their approach.

You are absolutely correct that all Labour Govs prior to Tory Blair were very much democratic socialists

The idea 'They're all the same' comes from NewLabour, because in 15 years in Gov they didn't reverse a single significant Tory policy of the prior 20 years. They were there to preserve and continue the Tory status quo, they were the very MPs that made it FAR more difficult for any genuine Labour democratic socialist Gov to get elected for several reasons

After 20 years of Tories people in the UK were absolutely sick to death of them and at the time of NewLabour a genuine democratic socialist Labour Gov absolutely could have been elected, Blair got into bed with Murdoch and the Tories and preserved their status quo instead, Murdoch's a God parent to one of his children and when Blair stepped down he got a standing ovation from the entire house of commons, something that for obvious reasons had never ever happened before or happened since

NewLabour increased privatisation introducing PFI into the NHS meaning even more of Taxpayers money was being lost to privatisation instead of funding the NHS and other services

                        NewLabour introduced PIP assessments

Crucially NewLabour failed to represent the strongholds that elected them in England, Wales and Scotland, and if you look at the size of the marginals in those seats they depreciated massively under NewLabour, what we saw in the GE was a part of the NewLabour effect, now the cunts are trying to use it as an excuse to revert back to NewLabour saying "We won elections" There's no fucking point winning elections if you're just the same as the other party except for spending a bit more on public services, that isn't fucking opposition, the UK desperately needs a real Labour Gov who IS going to end privatisation, raise taxes for corporations and high earners to the EU average (which was all they proposed this GE btw) and is going to make damn well sure it ends tax evasion and avoidance

It will take a few years to end privatisation, it would be too expensive to end contracts and have to pay them out, they'd have to end ones they could without cost and wait for others to expire and saying they'll end it in a manifesto isn't a good idea as people think it is undeliverable or too expensive, they need to say they will work towards ending it as quickly as possible focusing primarily on the NHS and Rail first

They need to be clear that they will raise tax on corporations and high earners to the average across Europe, no-one can say or lead people to believe that is unreasonable or that the rich will leave in their droves or that they're deranged lefties with wealth envy, because the policy is stating is just average taxation that everyone else does

Personally I think the manifesto for this election was too ambitious and wasn't set out right, it allowed things to be misconstrued and misreported and by being overly ambitious allowed RW rags and Tories to tell everyone it wasn't affordable or deliverable, it was affordable and deliverable, but over 2 terms not 1.

Most normal voters and Tories don't appreciate where spending money in one area saves you money in another and how a lot of the policy paid for itself, nor do they appreciate Tory Privatisation, Tax cuts and Tax avoidance cost the public purse in excess of 300bn a year, so Tories are effectively in a 1.5 trillion hole per term before any policy spending

                        • Labour needs somebody with good, sensible, honest-talking PR skills to improve their public image.
                          And the party's future development.
It's not rocket science, the party could become very electable with a bit of common sense.

                          • Just read on the BBC that John Caudwell gave the Tories 500k two days before the election. Hes the guy who owns phones4u and was terrified that Labour would get in and interfere with his billions.
500k to a political campaign. Think what 500k could do for children who require life saving surgery or homeless people yet that self serving cunt gave it to a party who will ensure he doesnt lose any of his vast wealth. He prattled on saying that people like him would leave the UK if Labour won.
                            Just go anyway. Please.

Honest 'talking' and a good public image?!?!? Sod that!!!!! Look what happened the last time we had someone fron Labour in charge based on such things. We need 'honest acting' politicians. It should not matter what their general 'public image' is, only what they want to do, why they want to do it, how they are going to do it, and most importantly if they 'actually' do fulfil these promises.

I've known for ages that 'public image' is more important to an increasing number of 'people' (I have my doubts over that description) than virtually anything else, but it's now at a point where it has superceded anything that truly matters and that is a sad reflection on both politics and the wider world in general.
