The reality most are forgetting is that Mo
Mane & Bobby all regularly missed gilt edged chances but 2 of them regularly still pushed 20 goals & 10 assists a season

Unfortunately, the greater the pressure to succeed the less time you are ultimately given to find your feet, Elite clubs expect elite performance, almost right from the off. There are no hard and fast rules for this, but there is and rightly so, there does have to be a time limit.

However, given the circumstances surrounding LFC at the moment and our search for a new manager, that decision on Nunez’s future, is now probably far closer than it would be if Klopp was actually staying till 2026.

This summer is going to be a very bumpy ride for some our squad methinks ….
A new broom sweeps clean. Any of the candidates interested in Klopp's job will have been watching Liverpool closely and will have his own ideas about who to get rid of, not just because they are shite but because they are players who won't fit the long term plan but they'll raise a fee. Interesting times.

Agree. Both Alonso & Amorin play a back 3 system with a narrower attack front3/2-1. Could be some interesting repurposing.

Diaz as an attacking wingback/leftmid & Trent on the right could be an interesting approach.

That’s what Souness did & changed our way of playing and look how that turned out And look how it turned out when Evan’s followed him & he changed it again to 3 at the back

A lot of ppl here don’t seem to know ours & other clubs history’s of errors in appointing managers who play different formations or styles

Same with the fa cup possibly.

he costs us too much with his lack of finishing and 5 good games a season

Needs to go, diaz can join him i am afraid not good enough, not for liverpool, the whole front line is fucked.

I'm not saying Souness was a breath of fresh air, I'm saying the new manager (whoever he is, even if it was Pep Ljinders) will have his own ideas and do it his way. There WILL be changes. And surprises. (And hurt feelings!)

You seem to want a "continuity candidate" on one hand and on the other hand every other post I read from you is all about Klopp's mistakes, going all corporal Jones and taking us backwards and how many of our players aren't good enough. Yet you want continuity?!!

Removing elements of your play that were fundamental to your success & that you were so good at no-one could stop you doing even though they knew what was coming is obviously a mistake, you keep those things & add to them

Nunez’s record so far this season is better than Bobby’s in most seasons, all bar one I think And Mane Mo & Bobby all regularly missed big chances when you watch other teams games, so do all their forwards

Our shortfall is the absence of goals & assists from LFWD & Mo not being the player he used to be & the change of style constantly always trying to play through a crowded centre with precious little releasing players wide to put quality deliveries into the area

Look at the one Diaz missed yesterday from Trent’s peach of a cross, how often have we done that in the last few games or this season as a whole? Releasing players wide & putting in quality delivery used to be our hallmark & our set pieces, we’ve got 2 full backs that are.brilliant at it, & we barely use it

At least Trent’s return also saw the return of some albeit limited given the issues it caused use of our crossing switch’s & long diagonals to open the game & space up, that made a massive difference
