Would have been great for him - but equalling the previous record ain't half bad when you consider more talented lads like Suarez and Cavani didn't manage it - he'd have been on Cloud Nine confidence-wise.

Still can be of course if he continues to have a good Tournament. How good would it be if lads like Gakpo and Núñez get off to a flying start early doors to help Slot's new-look Liverpool settle into a rhythm and weather the inevitable early transition period?

Just watched Uruguay vs Columbia and after the game chaos ensued. Several Uruguay players ended up in the stands including Darwin fighting fans. Some said their families were threatened but there is a good chance of a FIFA ban incoming. Total mess

He'll be getting a ban alright - you can't land a punch on a fan in a crowd and avoid one.

Why in a stadium with luxury boxes that the families aren't kept away from the main crowd is beyond me, but it's not a good situation at all and will likely negatively impact the start of our season.

Last year during pre season he was banging them in for fun, and started the season great. I was sure he was going to have a brilliant season, then he subsequently turned to absolute shite. He could score 20 goals in this tournament, I doubt it would do f*ck all for us next season.
