    Your team v Crystal Palace

A strangely contested match against Fulham means Liverpool fail to get the 3 points. In truth we never got going and looked a shadow of our usual selves outside of maybe a 10-minute spell. Two strikes against the woodwork would tempt some into thinking we deserved a win, but frankly we didn't.

With the Craven Cottage game behind them the Reds will hope to beat a Crystal Palace side that will be seeking to recover from a 2-0 loss to Arteta's Arsenal. A friendly with Aston Villa is also on the cards to try to keep getting players up to speed.

With injuries aplenty early doors Klopp will have a selection headache, perhaps most predictably in midfield. The robustness (or lack of) our options there will no doubt spark discussion all season.

Firmino is often Jürgen's pick and the gaffer is often patient with the integration of new players, but Darwin Núñez getting starts sooner rather than later looks an inevitability. Born to wear a Red shirt.

Henderson and Milner should not start unless Thiago is out then Henderson can play or Keita. But the sooner Klopp stops thinking Carvalho is a winger and Elliot a 8 that would help. I would start Carvalho as a 10 and play Keita and Fabinho as double 6.

Maybe play Gomez as RB? Move Trent up but anyway Klopp is trying to prove to the world that he can defend.

I guess I have assumed that Thiago will be unavailable - even if it's a "niggle" (we don't know yet) I'd rather he miss one week early doors than be pushed and miss six weeks.

Difficult one as so many were poor today, I’d say same as today but Nunez instead of the hopeless Firmino.

    Alisson
    Gomez Konate Virgil Robbo
    Henderson Fabinho
    Salah Firmino Diaz
    Nunez

Dropping Trent & Matip for Gomez & Konate

Bringing in Nunez for Thiago who I presume will be out for the next game at least.

Firmino was terrible, he can stay sat down.

Nunez should be the first name on the team sheet.

    ………………Alisson………….

    TAA…..Matip…..VVD….Robertson

    …..Keita……Fabinho….Elliott/Carvalho

    …Salah………Nunez…….Diaz..

Elliott and Carvalho were both better than any of the other midfielders when they came on.
Maybe switch Keita to the left and start Elliott on the right. Not convinced Elliott is ready to start every week but our midfield was absolutely shocking today.

Can someone let Jurgen know I'll bring my boots on Monday. I might be the wrong side of 40 but I'm bound to put in a better shift than that midfield today.

Konate won't be available if reports are to be believed.

Start with the midfield that was miles more creative in the second half v Fulham than the one with Fab and Thiago that started and with a No6 who is actually highly accomplished at making the play from there

    Alisson

    Trent Matip Van Dijk Robertson

    Elliott Henderson Milner

    Salah Nunez Diaz
