    Amorim’s at the wheel

Another incoming disaster I may as well get this in early 😂

Should really give it to van Nistelrooy due to all the pun potential.

Very Ruud of them not too - should absolutely have been the centaur of attention with all of this.

If he ends up being more successful with Man Utd than Slott is with us, many will think we missed a trick by not going for him when we had the chance.

If he ends up being less successful with them than Slott is with us, depending on how Amorim ultimately does we could end up viewing the situation somewhere between "we made the right choice" and "that was a lucky escape".

Hopefully in the same way that they were after their cup game against Burnley.

Irrespective of who manages their match at the weekend, they're in desperate need of a win.

If Villa win their game and if Chelsea can beat the Mancs, it'll be a 9-point chasm between them and the Champion's League spots, which would represent a huge gap even this early in the season.

They'll get over this hurdle, it's a banker - they go into this with blinkers off.
Can see them jockeying themselves into a good position for a gallop home to victory - probably by a furlong..

Then... the microphone will be held aloft and the question asked.. Why the long face

Horseface might whip them into shape, but not furlong....
