EFL Cup Final Match Thread: Liverpool v Newcastle

    Liverpool XI v Newcastle

    Kelleher
Quansah, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai Gravenberch, Mac Allister
    Salah, Jota Diaz

Subs: Alisson, Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Jones, Gakpo, Elliott, Tsimikas, McConnell

Kelleher starts his 3rd EFL Cup Final in 4 years. He deserves his start for staying with us as No2, he’s too good to be a No2

    Jota needs a goal.

I’d be happier with a shyte sloppy start and then taking them apart

I always type that. I don't want us to be a goal down before we've had time to settle

    I know - was just a joke.

Have to be honest - I think this is a tough one for us today. Physically and mentally. Not sure our focus is close to the same for this as the Toons. They are capable of physically dominating our midfield. If that happens we will need some magic from someone.

Coverage is building Newcastle up massively. Hope we can make a statement from very early on.
