I was near certain they would win the title this season. Had them down for that over City. Before the City slump. At Crimbo I felt they would catch us - also in January and even into Feb - I felt strongly that they would put a run together.

I’d also be lying to say I wasn’t hugely concerned about them winning a first european cup. Even at 3:1 last night - I was waiting for that second goal…

    The dread is over.

Although it’s not in the same league as my loathing for the Filth - the Arse are a very close second. Worse than Shitty imo…. and why in recent years I have wanted tge title to go to the Emptyhad rather than the Emirates…. Never used to feel that strongly about them when Wenger was there - but these last 10 years or so… Them and especially their fans….Oh my word…. Many of whom I know very well and work with…… 🤢

….. They are unbearable NOW - totally unbearable in 2025 - despite not winning a bean!!!!

Can you imagine if they did…?

Can watch the CL final and enjoy the spectacle free from nerves…and revel in number 20….

Fulham 1-3 Everton, comeback after Everton were behind early doors

    Ipswich 0-1 Brentford

Wolves 0-2 Brighton as Brighton battle it out with Brentford for 8th spot.

Southampton 0-0 Man City, a brave effort by the soon to be relegated outfit

Mathematically Man City could still finish 6th.

Won't happen of course, but shows the increase in competition in that area of the table.

Wonder who the surprise packages will be next season.

Well the suprise packages this season were Man Utd and Spurs lol, plummeting as they did. Brentford and Forest were both a vast improvement on the previous season.

Much depends on the transfer window and which teams can keep hold of their players

The Nottingham Forest match will impact things too - Leicester tomorrow, so you'd think Forest have every chance.

Indeed. Arsenal are by no means guaranteed their favourite second spot. Very catchable if we do the business tomorrow...

At the other end Man Utd could wrestle 17th place from West Ham tomorrow if the Hammers show up.
