This next window will show their hand. I have felt that they have done well. But if the Ismaila Sarr story is truw then it is a problem. Rumours also Klopp wanted Koulibally not sure but if true then they are a problem.

August will show their hand. Obviously Slaha and or Mane will be sold and finds used but of most is used or all and we have positive net spend then it will show. Or we only sign after big sale.

Who is going to be able to afford Salah/Mane ??

Watford want £30-40m for Sarr they arent getting anywhere near that price.

An option for us could be the lad we have loaned to Union Berlin as forward option not sure om his work permit though.

All of that is irrelevant. Our net spend is the FOURTEENTH highest in the PL alone over the last five years. The one and only time we went out and spent serious money is when we sold Coutinho, which whether you like it or not is relevant. You say that VVD was already lined up irrespective of what happened with Coutinho, but by the same token it could already have been known that Coutinho was going to be sold, and that the money received for him was going to be put towards VVD and Alisson. For all you know they could have earmarked other players to be sold to finance those signings if Barcelona had not paid as much as they did.

If they had sold Coutinho and not used most, if not all of that money to bring in one or two quality/expensive problems, they know there would have been serious unrest. They may be businessmen, and tight as ****, but they aren't stupid. They hired Klopp because of his record of being successful on the cheap. People like yourself can keep denying it, but there is more evidence to suggest that is indeed the case than there is to say that's not the main reason why they hired him.

And how many of those clubs who have outspend us, have actually won anything in the last 5 years ?

Lots of extremist points of view on this forum. I appreciate fans want to vent but come on. Klopp changed this team, even without huge sums of money. It's a poor season but no side would be able to cope with the number of injuries we've suffered. The season's done for the league - suck it up and move on.

That's not my job. All I know is that many of the players we have in our squad simply aren't up to the task and for one reason or another they should not be playing for the most successful club in England, who not only are the current PL champions, the 2019 CL and WCC champions, but are also one of only five clubs to have their own EC/CL trophy, and who are the fifth richest club in the world.

Would a local pitch and putt 'pro' be selected to play in the Ryder cup, or someone who won a go-kart race whilst on their stag do get signed up by an F1 team? No they wouldn't. Why? Because it would be next level stupidity. If you are or want to be the best you need to have players that can reach that level, and that means going out and actively seeking the best. Not casting a net that has seen better days into a small stream and hoping that you catch something 'edible'.

Klopp has proven himself a true genius....We just need to accept whatever happens this season and remember when he has his best 11 on the pitch he is unstoppable........ City were the best team in the World ever...

Then last season we smashed the Granny out of them.... now they are back just as we will be.....

I've asked who/what would they have bough to bring us up the table and what impact they think it would have on our side.

Seems you can say adding more players, spending more without any details and hold we wouldn't have had a dip as city had last year and at the start of this year with half a billion more in gross and net spend roughly speaking.

If city couldn't prevent a dip, it seems as though by putting us on par with spurs etc would have prevented a dip. Utterly bizarre claim imo.
