Ooooh that's a belter, I spent most of the game thinking "If somebody understood football, but didn't know these players or their age, they'd be forgiven for thinking the youngsters were the senior pros in that midfield for most of it"
Scoring 2 goals doesn't mask a below average performance in the lack of being able to do the basics of what a player's role is supposed to constitute of for me, he did nearly give away an equaliser at 2-1 only for Virgil and Kelleher to spare his blushes when caught out for his lack of ability with the ball, pleased for him to get 2 goals, but come on, that wasn't a good display
"If Everton were playing at the bottom of my garden, i'd close the curtains”
Thiago back in tomorrow for rehab and Klopp says not out until March.
So with some luck he will be ready for Inter Milan in mid Feb.
Cardiff at home in round 4
Must have been a couple of Hillsborough-related chants today, as Harry Burgoyne said the following on Twitter -
"As for these shrewsbury fans! Should be ashamed of yourselves. Liverpool showed nothing but respect today. Shocking absolutley shocking! Out them and ban them for life!"
- fair play to him for highlighting it.

My best mate was in the city centre today before the game. He personally witnessed a mob of about 25 to 30 Shrewsbury “ fans” singing vile songs about Hillsboro and specifically the 97. He felt sick. What planet do these imbeciles live on? I cannot comprehend this and it really depresses me.
Did they do anything else other than sing nasty chants ?
I don’t think my mate followed them round.
