I'd be surprised if we didn't spend. It won't be huge because that's not really how we operate, but there are indicators of a reasonable one.

    - £11m per year extra annual income due to increased stadium capacity
    - Some infrastructure payments chalked off
    - More amortised transfer payments chalked off
    - Players moving on which will free up space
    - Wages coming off the bill which frees up funds
    - Blatantly obvious need for midfielders, with Ox and Keita very likely to leave and Milner a possibility
    - Obvious need to begin working at lowering the age of the squad
    - Whatever anyone thinks of the owners, some investment to keep the value of the "asset" does make sense for them

We'll obviously need Champion's League football for an extra financial boost, though with incentivised contracts we (probably) pay out less to players if we fail to get a Champion's League spot, to protect us against losses.

Complacency self congratulation and a lazy half baked half arsed approach to tweaks and signings have become Jurgen's speciality since he brought Fab back into the side in 2020 coupled with a staggering arrogance of persistently picking players who let us down and their team mates down to disastrous effect far too many times before, like picking Gomez and Fab to start v Real

He has much to do to save his legacy as to date he has been a Shankly and a Souness as a manager, becoming a Souness through his half baked half arsed attempts to become a Paisley, he's a very fucking long way from that right now
Fuck off you prick same old boring shit out of you. Step away from the keyboard you would not have any balls to say any of that to his face you spineless cunt.

Dude, i have autism, i'd say EXACTLY what i think to absolutely anyone and always have, because status and status quo, both constructs to control and manipulate the weak and feeble minded mean absolutely fuck all to me, getting the job done, the best possible job done and doing what is right and best practice for the best possible result is all i've ever given a fuck about

Precisely the kind of keyboard warrior bullshit, totally devoid of any self awareness or the irony of their inane ranting, that keeps me away from the vast majority of social media.

Confident in saying, it’s not what any of the Forum regulars want to read on here, unacceptable.

Thanks Miller, i'm very much used to it since forgetting or (very life diagnosis) not really understanding why i ran away to or needed to run away to the circus of the music industry and tried working with so called normal people

I've been constantly abused and attacked and run out of jobs because people don't like being massively outperformed, people coming up with brilliant initiatives and solutions they are supposed to or their conformity to the status quo prevents them doing or anyone or anything challenging their status quo

It's like the 'chain of command' bullshit on The Wire' or rather 'all ideas and initiatives go through me so i can lay claim to them or take credit for them' i got run out of London Underground for resolving a 7 year ticketing issue by coordinating with TFL and Thamelink because it made my station supervisors and more importantly my General Station Manager in charge of 12 stations and all his DSMs look exactly like the lazy, entitled, self congratulatory talentless, unsighted by their statusd quo pricks they were

In the 'real world' i give people absolutely priceless things they are blinded to seeing by their status quo, worth mjilllions to billions, and they steal from me and hate me for it

Yep i'm used to it now

We'll spend yes, they have to like every club but if it's not a big outlay then we can forget competing unless there's a couple of rabbits out of hats like the Robertson transfer.
I know it's only paper/pundit talk but it's not wrong to suggest this squad needs 2-300m spending.
Three dream signings would be JB,Rice and Gvardiol. Very, very unlikely I know but it would be 300m right there. If Bellingham ( which seems to be the narrative for the summer) is the one they're going all in for there's not going to be much left if we are not going be spending very big.
We are going to look very silly if JB goes elsewhere.

£300m isn't happening - and to be fair isn't necessary if we shop smart. £200m would be bloody brilliant depending on who we buy.

Also worth remembering structures of deals and amortisation. Gvardiol is one I would love but can't see Gvardiol and Bellingham in one window if we want a second midfielder.

I wonder though if we could work out some sort of deal regarding Gvardiol - commit to a fee that we are willing to pay in the Summer of 2024 and buy him then, with the arrival of a free agent like N'Dicka in the meantime.

The "rabbits from hats" are out there as well and I do love that sort of business though it's hard to pull off.

Go for Gravenberch on loan with an option to buy sending Thiago back to Bayern as part of the deal and spend big on Bellwhiffingham

Agree 300m wont happen. I don't see us buying Rice either, Bellingham and Gvardiol plus a cheaper option might be possible. I'd settle for that.

He's fucking lost it after watching that tonight, ridiculous line up, ridiculous subs, no plan, no clue, no width on our left from the LFWD all game a feature he introduced when bringing Jota in for Bobby in 20-21, he's just fucked everything off that once made us a brilliant team, there's nothing there, not a single working functioning relationship between any of those players from what it was, you could see that getting worse and worse last season despite our playing every game, we scrapped through so many by the skin of our teeth only by the virtue of having quality in depth fit forwards and defenders

    That was fucking woeful tonight
