"Liverpool analyst Dominic Price has left the club to take over as Maccabi Tel Aviv’s technical director.

The 32-year-old (above right) will work closely with former Liverpool striker Robbie Keane, who was recently appointed as the Israeli Premier League outfit’s head coach.

Price was a highly-regarded member of the backroom staff at Kirkby with a strong focus on post-match analysis. Liverpool didn’t want to lose him but appreciated that the offer from Maccabi Tel Aviv represented a major promotion.

He worked his way up the ranks at Liverpool after initially joining as a coach for the club’s international football academies in 2011.

He left to join Blackpool as first team performance analyst in 2020 but returned to Liverpool as first team post-match analyst in July 2022."

Never like hearing when we lose Analytics Staff, though there will no doubt be a replacement appointed in due course.

Thiago Alcantara is attracting interest from foreign clubs, including those in Saudi Arabia, although Liverpool have yet to receive an official bid for the Spain midfielder, 32. (Times - subscription required)

All gone very quiet on the Veiga rumours, the one midfielder we've been linked with who looks a genuine possible generational talent, we've paid more than his release clause for 2 mids of lesser potential already, is it impossible for our transfer committee to act with speed and decisiveness?

It's another Tchouameni situation for me, in as much as we've been indecisive and dragged our heels while other would be potential suitors are otherwise engaged in other business including having to move players on, are we that incapable of being able to pull off a transfer coup and land a player while others aren't able to move on their interest? That's a major part of ensuring you get top targets, understanding the market and moving when other suitors are hamstrung

The Guardian reckon Thiago is off to Saudi and we are persisting with our pursuit of Valverde, offering Ł77m

Really cannot see that at all

I really would be knocked down with a feather if we signed him. Absolute pipedream.
