Assuming Hendo/Fab/Thiago move on and we don't bring anyone else in, I actually think we're weaker than we were last season!
Lucas Leiva?
That's based on the idea of all three leaving though where I think there's every chance two will go - for example's sake Henderson and Fabinho out, Thiago staying.
Also if (if!) Lavia comes and we are still persisting with the Box Midfield set-up in possession (not a certainty, granted) then that list ends up looking more like -
Szoboszlai
Mac Allister
Jones
Elliott
Thiago
Trent
Lavia
Bajcetic
Which doesn't look at all awful, particularly with the room for growth (age profile) of all but one of our midfielders being below-30. In fact if memory serves all but Thiago would be below-26.
The transfer window would still be open as well and the January window still exists should we end up bolstering then, as we did via Diaz and Gakpo transfers.
If that was our group and we added to it next season (Thiago departure, transfer in) then we would have a really good selection of mainly 20-25 year-olds for the midfield and 4 of our 5 "star" attackers would be under-30 with the defence being the next unit of the squad to address, particularly at centre-back.

: Liverpool have made an initial approach to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre.
Just turned 22, 5’9”, 95 games @ DM for Fluminese, 3 goals.
Bull.
Has Morton gone on loan again?
According to Football Transfers, Liverpool are among a whole host of Premier League clubs who have already made an approach for the 22-year-old.
The outlet claims however that whilst Fluminense will ask for a modest €25million for Andre, they are not prepared to sell until the end of the Brazilian season this winter.
