It's all odd, sudden 111m bid for a player we've shown zero interest in for that last 8 months.
Klopps presser seems to me that he's in the dark over it.
I don't think Klopp is in the dark. I'm sure he knows exactly what's going on, hour by hour. His frustration, if any, will be at a player/agent backtracking on their word. I doubt he's pissed at FSG bidding Ł111m.

There's a lot more clever people at LFC dealing with transfers than you or I. To think they made an offer over Ł100m without doing due diligence is deluded. It's very easy to criticise from here when none of us have a clue what's going on behind the scenes. Maybe wait and see how it plays out.
    Sound 👍

So the fact Jurgen said in his press conference that a deal had been agreed and that deal may well not be going though doesn't make Jurgen look bad ? Also the player looks to be going to our opposition on Sunday which the media will be all over when questioning Jurgen.
He's been told nonsense by FSG by the look of it, and sadly he's believed them.

And to cap it all it’s only taken City 3 minutes of the season to win the league.

That's not how I'm seeing it. A deal has been agreed between LFC and Brighton. That's not in doubt. So how exactly has he been told nonsense?

Brighton can't force Caicedo to move to LFC though. He can do what he wants.

There is just no scenario here where Jurgen looks silly.

Its not a matter of Man-city beating Burnley its a matter of us doing it home and away against them ..we need to beat all the bottom 10 teams home and away. thats a start

You would've thought before you put a bid in you would've asked did he want to play for Liverpool even though Chelsea have been in negotiations all summer.

The more I think about Klopp’s wording, tone and body language, the whole Press Conference chat was an FSG PR exercise forced on Klopp.

“Go tell the press we’ve got Caicedo, the fans are all over us.”

“Have we reached agreement with the player?”

“No .. the club. Now get out there, tell the Press and get the keyboards warriors of our back.”

Don’t forget as the crotch protector has attested - These people are far smarter than us and they did their due diligence - sadly they forget the most elementary of factors, like does the geezer even want to come to us… 😜
