But then you look at this.. Since 2014

    1. United
    Net spend:*€1326.42milion

    2. City
    Net spend:*€1065.52million

    3. Arsenal
    Net spend:*€995.72million

    4. Chelsea
    Net spend:*€992.41million

    5. Spurs
    Net spend:*€480.91million

    6 Liverpool
    Net spend:*€451.86million

AND we can see the Klopp effect..

Pep walked into a club that had spent an absolute fortune...and one which already had the best squad by a margin. Not to say he isn't a top top manager - he absolutely is, but he isn't emulating Klopp if roles were reversed..

No, but he can't be discounted either. He improved their CL form eventually.

Imo he adapts his setup to maximise his squads talents a bit better than Klopp lately.
Whereas at the end of last season Klopp finally changed our setup - a little mimicry of city & arsenal's. Results then improved and we just missed out on CL qualification.

For me, based on the squads at their disposal, this season is more Klopp v Pep than many might like to admit.

9th in the last 5 years across the net spend league 2019..2020..2021..2022..2023….and bottom (6th out of 6) in the last 10 years in the big six net spend league.

Agenda would seem to be rock solid and uber consistent & time periods overlap.

    Next..

That net spend is a poor form of analysis.

He was asking me if we'd finish above Chelsea this last summer, cause of their big net spend. I said we would finish above them and no interest from Steveo on the matter now we're 11 points ahead of them after 12 games.

Seems to be all about stadiums & net spend now the football is going swell and we're in a title race.

Agree. Too much greetin' aboot net spend 'n' stadiums. Dinnae git me stairted oan they wha think thay ken better than Klopp aboot team selection 'n' tactics.

I dinnae ken why folk cannae juist enjoy th' fitba 'n' th' moment.
