    We were 2-1 down.

Right now we could be listening to Sky having a Wank-a-thon about Mainoo and our heads would wilt massively.

As it is, a disappointing result overall (we wanted a win) but salvaging a draw in the end keeps us in the hunt.

The stronger side can fail to win in these clashes. We got results against Man United in the 90s despite being terrible.

Nobody is celebrating a draw, but I'm much happier about the result than I was after Mainoo's finish!

I'd argue we've lost more in terms of points from missed chances and goals at his feet this second half of the season since his return from the AFCON and injury than we've lost from any of the other front players.

There shouldn't be any question if any club comes for him in this summer transfer with a decent enough bid.

We've already had the best of him, and it's clear his form is now on a downward trajectory and he's going to be less effective as seasons go by as he loses pace and fitness each coming year.

Best to cash in now and find a replacement to invest in.
Gonna be big changes. How do you replace a 30 goal winger. They just don’t exist really. New manager to come in with his own system. Gonna be a huge amount of upheaval. Maybe we won’t even play with wide forwards.

We really do need a 'Conor Bradley' type replacement for him, like we've seemingly got for Trent.

And I expect the same 'form fallen off the edge of a cliff' performance from Trent too when he too returns from injury (not that he has far to fall. He was already a gash defender). so much so, that I'd argue he will have to fight for the right to displace Bradley from that starting position, or get moved to the midfield.

As for Robbo's flank, I don't think Tsimikas is the answer - he's good cover but not a starter.
But we definitely need a replacement for him on that side, because my gosh, has his form just completely imploded and totally left him.

He looked all sorts of awful out there.

Since Salah and DS have come back from injury our attacking play has really lost a lot of its effectiveness, I swear to god I could mark Salah, he does pose a threat, but his overall contribution has dropped several levels since his injury, same could be said of DS too.

Hey ho, its done now…didn’t want to win the league easily anyway….lets be honest, we only ever do things the hard way…

    Easy.

When he's not a 30 goal winger anymore.

Mo is not a 30 goal a season winger anymore.

I think we all have. But when the season start u felt we are a top 4 hopeful. But if we in a race come April our emotion will see us through. I live so far away but I just want those on the terrace to just push these boys along, so many under 25 who are going to be here with us after Klopp who need to feel Anfield and the traveling support earn something is on the line. Let's do it give them our all. I felt against Brighton a little and totally against Sheffield we were not that hostile hungry Anfield.

Well yes. He’s definitely in decline. But he’s still a major threat. He should have had 2 today. But even a 20 goal wide player is fairly rare. I think taa is being missed in an attacking sense now.

Cause he shook it off beautifully so that impressed me he has a strong head.

We don't walk away with 3 pts. Because of attack/finishing. Mo Salah, then Nunez. Then Szoboslai. But for me Salah mostly.
I wouldn't be too certain about that.
Some on here are still whinging about Quansah's mistake.

Forgetting about the front three who couldn't seem to score in a whorehouse if they were carrying gallons of roofies.

Anything that Trent would have given you in attack, he would have violently ripped away in defense.

If you think Robbo looked awful today coming back from injury, wait till you see the off-form Trent back, and playing in defense with his signature characteristic laziness, not tracking back and ball-watching.
