For all the injuries, use of youth players, and AFCON absences, I'd argue that only one thing will cost us in the end, and that is this second injury to Jota. He'd have slotted in any number of chances over the last 5 games. We'd put games to bed earlier, not lived on our nerves and generally been a hell of a lot more imposing to other teams. I'm pretty sure most people feel that we are the team most likely to drop points, and that other teams feel they have a chance if they get an early goal and then sit back...

Szob slowed our attack down he doesn't look 100%. Elliot and Jones brought better energy

I fear using a metaphor for being banned off the forum.

0.71 XG produced their 2 goals
    Defensively minus 1.29

3.6 XG produced our 2 goals
    Offensively minus 1.6

Today we were as bad in gifting them goals as we were at missing our own.
4 points dropped v that shower of shite.

We need arsenal to drop points now and win our respective game, giving us a 2 point swing.
So a loss or a draw makes little difference.
It's unlikely goal difference comes into it between us and arsenal. They're playing more steadily than us at present.

If it not us, I do hope it's arsenal over city.
I’d prefer city to win it again and let the Pl reap what they’ve sown. They’ve destroyed their “product “ by not holding city to account. Fuck them.

But the front 3 should be slotting in some more of the chances anyway, that's what they're there for.

    Not good enough.

I hope arsenal win it for the same sentiments against city.

    Today though,
    0.71 xg produces 2 goals. Minus 1.29
    3.6 xg produces 2 goals. Minus 1.6
    Versus xg
Our defense 2.8 times worse than Xg
Our attack 1.8 times worse than Xg
It's fucking criminal, whichever perspective you like to put on it.

That's how I feel. It means nothing when they win it, literally nobody cares.

The Quansah error really hurts. A 1-2 win would paste over all that.

I don’t fully get xg so won’t pretend to grasp the significance. But the eye test of missing tonnes of chance versus conceding from basically no chances agrees with it today. We’ve been conceding goals from non chances all season.

Worst performance of the season. Both Arsenal and City would've won easily today against that Utd team .
    We've only ourselves to blame.

Plus Arsenal win gives rise to the narrative that it’s still competitive. City can be beaten etc. I hope they turn it into a farmers league if we decline post klopp.
