I love and adore any player who plays for Liverpool but I have my measurement that I measure "world class" by (first touch I measure by Zidane/Bergkamp/Berbatov), finishing (Henry, Ronaldo9,) Ian Rush I saw in my younger years so most of my watching us highlights or reruns so I don't get the feeling of that moment but I also feel he and Van Basten. There are other names I am just mentioning if I say someone has a great something my lense I use. And in no way or firm do I mean I am right I sm giving perspective to my view.

Thank you for understanding what I'm trying to bring across without harshly attacking ne. That is refreshing. I also respect what you highlighted.

Thr group that won us the CL and first league title in 30 yrs are probably without reproach. Mo has done so much to make us all happy. I was disappointed in his performance I have my view as to what level i place him. But he is a legend.

I don't know I've already moved on from today. I have peace.

Besides the 2020 league title. The Liverpool of last 15 or so years, when have they done things the easy way.

Doing it this way is our way. Klopp once asked that we all turn from doubters to believers. So when I saw his face I became a believer 🤣 or whatever the lyrics say.

Liverpool will be champions of England 2024.c

I feel the same way too.

I feel and Arsenal win would just allow the league to brush it all off and claim that City's crooked and shady book-keeping and obscene spending isn't the problem everyone claims it is.

But City winning, and then (hopefully) getting found guilty on those 115 charges or at least the most serious of them will be a major indictment on the league and their laughable application of their own FFP rules.

Also, this season I've just come to absolutely hate Arsenal and their twat of a manager and captain.
I feel if they fail to win it this season for the second consecutive time after having come so close yet again, it will be a huge psychological crevice that will be hard for them to easily climb out of in order to mount another challenge again next season.
And then couple it with a damaging Champions' League elimination, possibly at the hands of an otherwise struggling Bayern, and that would be the icing on the cake, for me.
Real are probably going to win their 16th title anyway, so I don't really care that much about it this year while we're not in it as long as none of the English teams win it.

CCTV was, to my understanding, saying we shouldn't be dropping points against a side that isn't challenging for the Champion's League spots.

I was highlighting the fact that Man City have already done so by losing to Wolves.

It happens. After 31 games we are ahead of Man City and level with Arsenal.

I am disappointed with not winning. However I am delighted (given that we were 2-1 down) with ensuring we got a draw to keep our hopes alive.

Everyone has been willing to say Man City or Arsenal "will" win when they have been behind us - so we should be able to maintain some hope that we might win given that we are level with the League leaders and ahead of Man City.

I think world class is handed out too much these days. My favourite player in my 20s to watch apart from SG was Ronaldinho. I think he was truly above everyone in what he could do with a football in that era. The likes of him Henry zidane were world class. With our team and football in general individual brilliance is being largely negated by brilliant tactics these days and football is being dominated by systems. Imo with our side under klopp he developed a system with in which players with certain traits can combine to completely overwhelm and dominate a team with better individual players. And if you want to measure mo you’d have to say that within that system he has been unbelievably effective.

    Stats before todays game.
Nunez 28 league games, shots conversion 43.2% goal conversion 11.6%
Salah 24 league games, shots conversion 47.1% goal conversion 18.8%
Jota 19 league games, shots conversion 47.2% goal conversion 25.0%

Imagine If Jota wasnt so injury prone and played every game where would we be now?.

It just a means of assesing the opportunities to score based on probability.
Those figures, I've added up from individual xg today.
It would suggest manu should score between 0 and 1 goals.
    0.71 they got 2
And we should score 3-4 goals.
    3.6 we got 2.
Probable scorelines based on this xg analysis
    Lfc win, 3-0, 3-1, 4-0, 4-1.
So your eye and these stats are not out of kilter by much.

At halftime, the stats would suggest a bollocking for our attackers.
We had halftime to say, we're missing loads of chances today, make sure we don't concede.
We conceded after 5 minutes and again 8 minutes later.
At fulltime the defense should be getting a bollocking. Manu had an xg of 0 first half.
These statistical insights are not earth shattering.

Agree. Football is robotic. Even the magicians that are left are like magic robots. I miss players like Ronaldinho as you mentioned. Or Rui Costa, or Romario. Imagine asking Romario/Maradona to only do this in this 3rd of this 3rd of this 3rd of the pitch.

I actually find football boring these days don't watch as much. World Cups don't care maybe the final. Euros same thing. Too much and it is diluted. You don't really walk away and then you are just blown away. Klopps 2018-2020, Peps Barca, those are the 2 team plays that I enjoyed. But football is boring. I am even missing some Pulis/Allardyce type as everyone is now splitting centre back, goalkeepers having it etc. Sonetime a headed goal by Zamarano or Salas is as beautiful as a tiki taka goal.

Quansah if an exceptional young CB but he struggled in the cup game & a couple of other recent games dropping off & letting players get well advanced into our half where Virgil Konate or Matip would be on the front foot dispossessing them just inside our half or theirs, it makes a big difference maybe nerves are kicking in with Quansah,
