First off, anyone thinks we got beat because of goalkeeper, knows fuck all about football, end of!!!!!
Atalanta are a poor side, any 'normal' Liverpool team would wipe the floor with them.
We lost by putting out the poorest team possible, completely disjointed, out of positions, and man for man marked.
In possession we walked around (man marked) , long balls and back passes to players (man marked).
Nobody occupied their normal areas, we were wide open. My main concern was that second half we did exactly the same.
Next week , movement against man marking, movement into space, passes into space, creating flow.
On form we could still beat this team, score first and anything could happen. At least go down fighting if nothing else.
    Please Jurgen strongest team starts.

Looks that way to me.. Let's hope not. I am a natural pessimist - wish I wasn't but that's my makeup.

As I say IF we can win the title - it will be by a distance Klopp's biggest ever achievement in a career of many great ones.

Carabao Cup was a good win though to be fair. wasn't an easy draw and we beat Chelsea in the final with a bunch of kids. another huge win imo

I warned extensively about dropping things that made us Champions I’ve been warning extensively about it after we started doing just that in 19-20 when we’d already won the league

We’ve thrown the baby out with the bath water once too often & when we’ve needed our once best in the world counter attacking prowess to get games won it not been there since 21-22 when it no longer being there cost us a Champions League

When we need our forwards on the shoulder to stretch the game & pin the full backs & our mids to work the space with the forwards to release the full back or forward to score or assist it’s just not there anymore

When we want to drop off & protect a lead leaving LFWD & RFWD up on the shoulder & to try & release them in the counter with the full back LCM or RCM pushing up to win any second ball to create from there, it’s no longer there

That was plan A B & C thr new players were supposed to improve those plans & add new dimensions ditching what made us Premier League Champions League & World Club champions entirely was always really fucking dumb

I don't think we ever played so badly under Klopp. We were neutralised everywhere on the pitch. We badly needed a Henderson or Milner to throw a few f#cks into the lads.

Will take some major shake up to snap them out of it.
Again totally agree. Klopps last season in Dortmund was similar outcome. Finishing 7th in the league and winning the DFL Super Cup.

Couldn't watch the game, but it appears that we set up to save players for the league. Curtis (especially after injury) and Harvey felt a little lightweight though, and I think that cost us when everyone else around was under par. The attack has also gone from being direct to tricky, but lacking end product (Salah has managed to disguise his ability to miss sitters in the past by scoring worldies - now he seems a yard short of pace, perhaps that is now more obvious - or perhaps it's just a form thing who knows.)
In any case, we need to breathe take a cold shower, reset, concentrate on thumping palace to get momentum for Italy.
Maybe this is what we needed?
