    Good start

But disappointed with our pressing and counter pressing under Slot so far, we let teams counter on us too easy & too often & so far we’ve been quite lucky to get away with big chances we gave up as a result being missed

I expected he would play his passing & pressing game but his press would be much better than it has been it is improving though

I did think that having seen what these players can do in how Klopp operated he’d have used their ability in those things a bit more & integrated things a bit more

He’s doing brilliant & these things take time & as ever I’m being greedy

The variation of passing & incisive moves through lines of his Feyenoord team haven’t materialised quite yet either

We have 3 mids all very capable of playing quality switches that they could all still improve on & we don’t use the switches & their ability at them enough, as Slot conceded himself in todays post match

Virgil playing some great switches & medium to long balls, not seeing enough of Trent’s playmaking ability from deep at
    RB

We have to do all these things better because we’ve been playing mostly the sides that ‘have a go’ & the couple who try & park the bus & counter we e struggled more with

Against those teams we have to use the switches, the playmaking from deep & mix it up more with a bit of back to front now & then too, more the diagonals looking to release players off the back off the CB

Just because those teams are very organised & good at keeping their shape & frustrating you & countering in you if you don’t do all those things to pull them about & out of shape

Winning second balls & not letting them get out & transition is also really important

That Villa match last night was Slot's 43rd managed game of 2024 - Liverpool and Feyenoord combined.

Of those 43 games in charge of 2 clubs, he has lost only one match within a 90-minute timeframe, which of course was Nottingham Forest.

Of his last 24 games managed (both clubs) his record is 22 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat.

Not a sustainable level on a permanent basis of course, but he is flying right now and yet we all still see room for improvement from this side.

    Very encouraging.

This worked out well, we didn't need to give him a chance!

    Fantastic, what a manager.

So funny all the people and other fans "Doomed without klopp"

    Ok then.

Considering our start and what's happening to our main rivals, you can only pray the owners back him in the Jan transfer window to strengthen whatever area he's worried about.

Let's hope they don't think 'hey were doing so well already we don't need to spend'

What’s the point in speculating about what Slot might want? Nobody here has a clue, that’s for sure.

I gave him every chance to be fair as he seemed a great fit from how he played with Feyenoord & that we had a great squad of players some of whom a slight tweak in style might have quickly improved

Long may he continue as he’s started
