I asked this question weeks ago.
He “could” just be the man to emulate Paisley. There is a similarity of a sort between Klopp to Slot and Shankly to Paisley.
The huge charisma that resurrects the club leaving the foundation for the next man to benefit.
But there can be an ocean of difference between that hope and any actual destiny.
Here’s to keeping the hope alive.

Hopefully there are similarities between the previous managers/transition mentioned.
A massive bonus for him taking this job is that he isn't starting a rebuild which is what a lot of managers going to big clubs have to do, replacing someone who's been sacked. Everything around the club is positive at the moment despite the sadness of losing Klopp, hopefully the positivity will have an effect on things for Slot as he settles in.

Also he is nothing like Jurgen. A good thing as you cannot try to emulate that. As with Paisley... a huge persona replaced by a much more subtle character - someone so totally different.
Make no mistake though.. It is going to be extremely tough. Arsenal a shot in the arm knowing that Klopp is gone and Pep is following him. Rival clubs very well placed now to squeeze us out of the CL places for a long stretch.
Slot has a massive job on his hands.

So easy to say "the Premier League poses different challenges, let's see how he does" or "I'm more concerned about my own club in truth".
I half-expect some to-and-fro results early doors (win a 3-0, lose a 3-0) and then for things to settle into a groove quite quickly.
