I agree with possession based football.. as long as our attacks are quick in the final 3rd.. we don't wanna be passing and going around in circles.. If we are possession based. Usually means teams will sit deeper. that will take a lot of stress of the back line.. I love Klopp and wish he was still here. But often we just kept running constantly. meant when teams had the ball we'd have to run back and then forward and then back again. had to cover more ground. if we score first in games. the game will naturally open up that'll give our wide players a chance to counter attack. otherwise be patient for the most part.

I'm feeling really good about things with Arne.

The test for a lot of fans will be the inevitable weathering of the transition. We are going to be doing a lot of high-risk passing at the back to play out of the press for whatever period of weeks/months until we are good enough at it that a number of sides back off us and don't bother any more for fear of being picked off.

Whilst we are improving our ability to play out from the back and see our double-pivot lads receive the ball on the half-turn, there are going to be interceptions and turn-overs that lead to the opposition scoring and we may even have a match or two where we are a bit disjointed and get spanked.

If fans hold firm and we get through that, I think we will get into a groove and be onto a winning formula.

I could see us (for example) being outside of the Champion's League spots around Christmas (causing some panic) but comfortably finishing 2nd or 3rd as we find a groove.

See what happens I suppose, but I'm looking forward to a lot of things.
