I believe in nuance and reasoning where it is merited.
- People want to denounce the European Super League idea? Have at it.
- Interesting discourse about alternatives to the current version of Anfield? Go nuts - was very recently enjoying a chat with Steveo on this, even though our views on the ownership aren't in full alignment.
- Raising of ticket sales without consultation with fans? Definitely to be decried.
- A tendency to find ourselves "one key player short" at the end of a couple of our transfer windows, when a more proactive approach may fare better? Work away.
I've said before and I'll say it again, I don't object to anyone wanting a change of ownership, questioning their policy, having concerns about past mistakes, or having apprehensions about certain patterns.
When the discourse is nuanced, interesting etc I often find myself quite engaged.
But the slogan/mantra/name-calling aspect is very tiresome. The imbalance of the Captain Hindsight style chat is just a dead rubber of a discourse.
If someone said (regarding ownership) "I think person X would be unreal for us, here's why" I would listen intently.
If someone said "spending beyond this amount is financial doping, we can spend up to THIS amount before I'd hate who we are" I'd be gripped.
But unfortunately it's rarely like that. I'm advocating for a better standard of conversation rather than the equivalent of people rage-quitting when a certain level of a videogame becomes too tricky.

Can we please keep talk about North Korean leaders to a specific thread.
And if we want to talk about senile war mongering crooks and the Cabala of Harris - there will need to be one more each for them two..too.
Anyone wants to mention the weather - do one...![]()
Be fair Justin - that's a man jumping 'within' his means. The Self Sustaining model. Any higher than that and he might incur costs.
He could've at least 'tipped' the bar with his pee-pee....
