Its not just Zumendi , where are other players we need? a new centre back? a left back? and so on?? no fucker is being signed again.

Don't worry about it we're saving money to replace Alexander-Arnold, Salah, and Van Dijk when they all go on a free.

And of course we'll probably need another CB LW and ideally a RW so we have 2 not just the newcomer that can play on the right.

Also obviously a no6, Diaz will probably be off to barca by then too, so add a LW

Imagine all 3 do leave for free next summer and we sign no one this summer.

The squad next year will be in real trouble and we will need huge investment to get back to where we are, never mind ahead of where we are.

Unfortunatly, my outlook is currently very negative for the futur.

Well Salah & Virgil are at the age where one more big pay day elsewhere is a foreseeable outcome. With Trent it would leave a far greater bitterness if he left on a free transfer. I'd wish him well still.

Virgil & Salah will need replacing sooner naturally, which will be tough to do. Salah is largely irreplaceable given his record at right wing forward. Virgil an ever-present prickford aside.

My outlook is more positive. There's a fairly young decent core here, and a new manager. The last 5 Klopp era Stars look set to have 1 Last season together.

If we do make a signing or 2 in alternate positions to somewhat rescue what has been a poor window, we'll still probably need to make spaces if we are bringing lads in with the 25-man squad registration.

Goalkeepers - Alisson, Kelleher, Jaros (3)

Defenders - Robertson, Tsimikas, Van Dijk, Konate, Gomez, Sepp, Quansah, Trent, Bradley (9)

Midfielders - Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones, Elliott, Gravenberch, Endo, Bajcetic, Morton (8)

Forwards - Salah, Núñez, Jota, Gakpo, Diaz (5)

3+9+8+5 = 25 lads, so even if Zubimendi had come in, we'd still have had to ensure a sale or loan the other way to make a space (Bajcetic out on loan seems the most obvious, if we struggled to sell Sepp or Endo or Tsimikas let's say) for them.

I thought I explained quite well why I'm optimistic for the new season. You say that people at the club are in a far better position to know what's happening than us (true), then slate them on here for lack of transfers. Last I checked the transfer window hasn't closed. Maybe save your moaning until after it has? Even better, bin the moaning altogether.
