I'd personally advocate paying the extra - I think all of us (myself included) will disagree with how we conduct certain aspects of business - with some disliking our overall principles/model and others disliking the finer points on a case-by-case basis.

I still think it would represent excellent business to get one of the top goalkeepers for what I deem a very reasonable fee, so we can future-proof the position - yes.
