We keep going behind in games. When you keep chasing to get back into games it's a graft - but to keep doing it and then pushing on for the win is a utterly gruelling and emotionally draining. This is perhaps the net result. We did well to get a draw at Newcastle - they should have been out of sight by HT…also we did extremely well to take 3 points at Southampton.

Squad is decent - but yet again we are short in key areas.

Our squad isn't as decent as it has been made out to be. We have good options in attack, not so in midfield, with a definite need for a quality DM and maybe some more goals and creativity, whilst our backline is seriously lacking, even more so whenever VVD or Konate are missing or off form.

Agree with what your saying. But after getting to 3-2 in injury time. The way we conceded is a kick in the teeth because he could have caught / punched it away. Instead he was trying to be clever. He has done that in a few games and has gotten away with it. But why do it with a minute to go.

As for the squad, its decent as you say. I have been banging on about a cb for 2 years. We could really do with some additions this January.

Slots first window and he was only given chiesa wasn't it? Hopefully he has run the rule over the group and can give his requirements to the management for January.

Is Robertson only missing the midweek game?

We are massively missing Konate as we have Jota. One came back today and had immediate impact, the other is sorely missed still.

Robbo looked poor before he went off anyway, 2 pens and a red card far outweighs a motm in a generally poor performance at a weak Spanish side in Europe.

Gravenberch was excellent, Szoboszlai was much better today I thought, usual energy topped off with one or two very good through balls.

Trent … really not too bothered if he goes, plays more dreadful hospital passes than good ones and creates as many issues in our defensive third as chances at the other end, if not more. Bradley is looking the part, he’ll do for me.

Good to see Harvey back in the mix, he looked quite lively.

We were unlucky not to pick up three points today, again coming back from behind twice, as we did at Newcastle. Good overall performance.

As a side note, that is far and away the best I have seen Antonee Robinson play, might have considered it an interview of sorts.

Yep 1 match ban - wasn’t violent or risking an opponent just a blatant denial of a goal scoring opportunity

Need to bolster through the spine of the team , a centre back a priority , a DM , gravenberch played amazing today as he has done all season but the guy will be knackered second half of the season . We need to buy a lethal striker , jota brilliant but can’t be relied upon to stay fit, we are to easy to play through and when we haven’t got konate who has the pace to cover ground we look vulnerable

Oh and the whole Sky panel plus the ex ref saying Pereira should have seen red before scoring.

    That completely changes the game.

    It's never his fault.

Funny how he's the only one that seems to get "knackered" and needs to get subbed late in games,...persistently and repeatedly.
Nothing at all to do with the fact that he's a glaring liability in our team.

The times that Fulham looked most dangerous or had any control going forward was always, ALWAYS when they sent the ball down to his flank. Every single time.
    And not just them.
Every team is onto this weakness in our defense and our team and that's where they get most joy attacking us.

How anyone intimates "we're generally better with him" is beyond me at this point when it's clear that Conor is a far superior defender (you know,...the thing they should be doing first and foremost as fullbacks?), and when he (Trent) has games like today where his delivery and passes are trash (and we didn't even talk about the multiple times he gave the ball away with careless passes), he's practically useles, and a passenger at best.

I mean, honestly in your heart of hearts, do you ever imagine Trent could have made the tackle that Conor made on Mbappe in the Champions League game,.....versus what we all know would likely have happened with Mbappe beating him for pace and possibly going down to score?

His corners were all trash today, none his crosses found their man, but no,..."we're generally better with him".

    Okay.
Let's keep defending the indefensible (....and really,...the "incapable of defending").
If only he put in as much effort in actually defending on the pitch as some of his defenders do in defending him in the fandom.
Sorry but just don’t agree. Hope you feel better now. You are obviously quick to jump on him week in week out. How was that last Elliot corner? How was Quansah? How was Robbo? Szobo? We let in 13 goals in 20 games before today. 13. Best in Europe. By your logic they are all Trent’s fault and anything that goes wrong surely it must be because of his play somehow. Bradley made a fine tackle that game. But don’t say so Trent sucks lmao. You’ve got blinders on that he is shite, how many career assists does he have?

Who will you piss on next year? Most neutrals would take him in a heartbeat into their squads. RM know his game and want him to replace club legend Carvajal. You should send Madrid your hot take on Trent. Surely they will
sour on him. And yes we are generally better with him. His CAREER proves it. If Slot doesn’t believe that than he will let him go on a free.

As we speak the officials, FA and PL are probably trying to find reasons to extend that ban.
