It's looking an awful lot like Trent never intended to sign another contract with LFC so I'm not sure what you expect the club to do. Maybe have the Cigar-smoking-wrinkled-dick threaten to shag his girlfriend if he doesn't sign?

Sometimes there are multiple parties to blame. This seems like one of them.
You seem to want to put the blame on anyone but the people running the club. Blame klopp if you want. He isn't responsible for contracts.

Its starting to look like the club never intended on offering him another contract because they didn't want to pay him. Maybe? We don't know.

But the fact is, the club didn't offer him a contract until this week? That's very poor imo.

Im not sure what your referring to about cigar-smoking-wrinkle-dick.

I've said multiple parties are to blame, including the owners. I don't know how much clearer I can make that.

I also think Trent never had any intention of signing another contract with LFC. It seems his heart is set on Madrid. It's ok if you disagree with that.

Cigar-smoking-wrinkle-dick was obviously a failed attempt at humour based on previous posts.
VOTE JOCKY tae fix this fiasco.

Fair enough, the recent posts didn't come across as putting blame on the owners. I don't even know if it is them, more than likely the people thye hired to run the club.

Trent isn't blameless either. I have said the club should have offered him a contract a year ago. Likewise, if he wanted a new contract he could have gotten his agent to force them into talks.

So I do agree there is blame on both sides. My issue with the people running the club, is that they left 3 important players enter this situation. That's poor planning and cones from the people in charge. Not the players or manager.

Anyway, it's new years eve. I'm off for the night.

Happy new year, one and all. Hopefully 2025 will carry on for the pool like 2024 has ended, with plenty of wins and we might have a league title at the end of the season.

Not sure about Thuram, anyone seen much of him? Plus he’s 27??

Liverpool are open to selling Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez, 25, and have identified Inter Milan and France forward Marcus Thuram, 27, along with Newcastle's Sweden striker Alexander Isak, 25, as potential replacements.

You could always go with the Khvicha Kvaratskhelia rumour instead

If we took £45m for Nunez this would be in affect a straight swap.

TBR Football reported that Liverpool are among a host of clubs showing an interest in signing Cunha, who completed a £44million move to Wolves in January 2023. The Reds will reportedly face competition from Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle and Manchester City for Cunha's signature in January or next summer.

    Not the worst idea …..

Could've signed Thuram for nothing 18 months ago

So if he wasn’t good enough to sign for free then perhaps not for £45m

I know he isn't scoring enough for us at the moment, but I would be very hesitant in taking £45m for a 25-year old striker who is almost always fit.
