If you were buying Nunez how much would you pay?

I'm just hesitant about selling anyone right now given the position we are in. We will need all the players we have for the rest of the season and nunez will be useful for the squad. Especially when jota gets injured again.

If we sell Nunez surely we'll bring in another striker. Two months ago I thought we were the only team tentatively linked to Marmoush, now suddenly he's flavour of the month and everyone and their dog are after him. Surely Salah will be in touch with him to get him to Anfield.

We could sell Nunez today and not notice any impact on results for the rest of the season. Based on his performances so far.

Any striker we buy is almost certain to be an improvement. That's how poor he currently is.

I don't have a straight answer for you as I don't know in truth - myriad of factors - which club he would transfer to, do they play with a traditional 9 or not, is the side set up to provide the most chances to the 9, is it a counter-attacking set-up that threads through-balls to the 9 at every opportunity....and so on and so forth.

Does currently look a confidence player low on confidence being asked to do things that aren't "his" game from a football intelligence standpoint.

His market value is apparently £53m. We have seen midfielders bought for that sort of money. Strikers have a premium and he is a very hard-working one with age on his side and a great injury record. He is of immense value to someone.

If we were to sell Nunez, I'd like any money we'd recoup get put towards buying Omar Marmoush.

His market value is whatever someone is willing to pay. I haven't heard of any £53m bids coming in.

Strikers who score plenty of goals are of immense value. I think you might be confusing Nunez with one of those. As of now, he has exactly the same number of goals for the club as Origi, who left on a free after his contract ran out.

There are plenty of coaches out there who remember his form in Portugal who think, in a different league, in a different system 'I could get a tune out of him'.
Got a feeling he will go this window.

Nunez is our most expensive player ever. He makes Andy Carroll look like the bargain of the century.

Speaking of Andy Carroll, he is only 35 and is still playing football at Bordeaux.

Would never have guessed that. His LFC career feels like a lifetime ago.
