- the following year we acquire Bajcetic
- the following year we acquire Gordon
- the following year we acquire Doak
- the following year we acquire Nyoni
- the following year we acquire Ngumoha
- ......maybe Tzimas in 2025???

These "bits and pieces" of business are definitely a worthwhile endeavour. You don't take your eye off the 23-26 year old market of course, but it adds up.

That's kind of my point. The £100m offer for Caicedo is being offered up as some sort of ruse to placate fans and that it wasn't a 'serious' offer. Yet when we've identifed the targets we've wanted we've usually paid decent money if neccessary. We have a squad littered with £30m+ signings.

We didnt sign anyone in January 2024 in the summer we signed Chiesa and now its January 2025. it could be 3 transfer windows with 1 signing

We've signed 2 players in that position, and had a 3rd done but Zubimendi withdrew at the last hour. Can hardly blame the club for a local lad picking his boyhood club over a big money move.
