Much better second half performance, much more of a threat.

The game was made for a 10-15 minute Chiesa cameo to win it.

Salah, apart from one effort cleared off the line was absolutely dreadful again

On the balance of tonight a points probably not bad considering how they play. Their keepers had a blinder second half. I thought we'd have pulled a performance out as a statement.
We've definitely hit a bit of a sticky patch bit it was going to happen, it's Forest and we should maybe expect to win but they're flying and not many trams are going to take points from them. We were never gonna go all season without a dip at some point. It's how we ride it out and dropping four points last two is disappointing but against pit biggest rivals and a team who were flying we've not lost and that's something that can make the difference.

We could do with a signing in midfield, we can't keep relying on the main two constantly. A new signing would be a big boost if it was someone who we can actually use.
Agreed. We are back to starting slowly and conceding first, a habit we had last year. The effort to get back into the games must also be taking its toll.

I'd love a midfielder too and a cb while I'm being greedy. I don't see it happening personally.

I'm sure you'll agree that the solitary win against Leicester and slight increase in points per game average over five rather than four games isn't exactly cause for celebration, and that given those four recent draws it is perfectly reasonable to have some concerns about our form and that this current 'blip' could become a lot more than that, even more so if any of our key players continue to look out of sorts or get injured.
There is concern for sure but what needs to be noted too is that we've lost just one league game and in total only dropped 13 points in 20 games.
Not one Liverpool fan had or would have predicted anything close to that in August.
Newcastle since the draw have won their last 9 games, a point away there is a good point despite us throwing away the win. I personally think a point from tonight may end up being very valuable, we've grabbed something after playing terribly.
We do need to snap out of this quickly though.

There's always going to be that "here we go again" feeling due to it happening before, what's different now though about this season is we don't have a team like City breathing down our necks racking up points at a rate of knots. Feels like a different season because of that.

Me either! Just don't see anyone that would be available in January without exorbitant fees!

I love Robbo, but boy you can tell all these years have had their toll.

Still top of the league though. Also a Spurs win tomorrow night would be great

Even a Spurs draw would do rightly - a round of fixtures where Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Arsenal all fail to gain ground when we are playing away from Home against what are undeniably one of the better sides in the League (this season) would be a good week - with the obvious caveat of being we will need to win games again, quick-sharp.

As long as we have the lead, it's about matching those around us, though it undeniably isn't good for the nerves. Hopefully we get a win against Brentford - it will take some time yet, but I'd really love to be in pole position when we reach a stage where our rivals are running out of games to catch us.

We're fortunate that our rivals are also currently a bit all over the place. Problems could arise if one or more of them suddenly hit a bit of good form and we continue to drop points. I'd be surprised if at least one of them didn't run into a decent bit of form between now and the end of the season, whilst I certainly wouldn't be surprised if we don't string a decent number of wins together during that same period of time.

Arne continuing Jurgens persistence with salah when he has a rare bad game, it does salah no favours either as he knows he stays on. Chiesa at least shoots on target when he finds a little space. Not asking a lot in this window but by God the squad could do with the uplift of a seasoned pro signing. Preferably at LB. And give Danns all of Nunez minutes the next 6-10 games to see what he really has to offer.
