Firstly, either last season or the season before, Gomez was very close to leaving the club, and I'm not talking about leaving in a similar way to a Torres, Suarez or Coutinho. Secondly, just because a player has made a lot of appearances it doesn't mean they are 'top quality', even more so when a lot of those appearances are as a sub or because better, more reliable players are missing. Lucas Leiva played lots of games for us as a starter. Was he 'top quality' and good enough to justify all the appearances he made? I think we all know the correct answer to that question.

Playing under Dalglish,Klopp and also being signed by Rafa is a pretty good indication you're a very good player. He'd walk into any other team in the league outside of City, Arsenal or Liverpool.

I think that's what you lot aren't getting i'm talking about the recent youth.

I think I'm right that you have to live within a certain mile radius to play for a teams academy (under 16s) it's after that players come in from elsewhere. Arsenal are lucky to have loads of kids to pick from being in london .

We're currently 2nd from bottom in the under 18 league

it must be because we're too good. 20 pts behind utd in under 21s and sit 7th place.

You're missing the point on youth teams. They're there for players development its not there for winning tournaments

I could careless about the under 18s.. Players are far from mature at that age.. Quansah was excellent last season. Hes having a bit of a kick back in form..Time will tell if he can improve again. I personally think he will..
I said last season i liked the look of McConnell. I actually prefer him to Morton. Danns and Nyoni also look good prospects..

So did the last lot of youth..... now most of them are playing in league 1 or below or some random country

some people have very SHORT memories...They can't even remember what good form Gomez was in before his latest injury.. He did very well in the absence of Konate..

And yes, 21 is still a kid. The older you get the more you realise 21 is still a kid !!
