well last time I did this was against utd and yeah.. didn't go too well...

we need to win this, any result apart from a loss will be good v city.

It's that or arsenal are right behind us.

As for Trent, I've repeatedly said that for a couple of seasons he's been giving off a vibe of having turned into a 'Billy Big Bollocks'. Him probably being off to Madrid seems to have worsened his look that at times he can barely be arsed.
Agree with that sentiment, but a similar thing happened in 21/22 if I recall correctly.
Salah had the yips in terms of finishing towards the end of that season. His goals & assists dropping off in the second half of the season.

Klopp persisted with him due to his class, but a brief spell on the bench often sorts out bad form.
Souness has said before that a good reputation at LFC allows you to have 3 bad games before you are dropped. You need others to step up, but everyone needs to benched on merit too. Salah is a hard man to bench tbf.

line up v Aston Villa: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Jones, Szoboszlai, Jota, Salah.

Subs: Kelleher, Endo, Diaz, Nunez, Chiesa, Elliott, Tsimikas, Quansah, Bradley.

Looks like either Jota on the left or one of the midfielders.. I think its likely Szoboszlai. will play as the false nine and Jota left.. I like the idea of a very compact midfield. then again could be Jones on the left.
will have to wait and see

Trent vs rashford will be a worry. Rashford has the pace to cause him problems of he is 9n his game tonight.

I'd imagine jota up top and Szobo out left.

Slot started 4 midfielders today, more of a surprise than starting 4 forwards.
