I’m all in for the Title, have been since day one, need to get to 20 and on to 21 before Utd get their shit together.

This is a bonus for me, so looking forward to a raucous night at Anfield rather than being too nervous, wishing I was there to help make the noise.

Would all miss the next game if they get a yellow tonight

    EDIT: Elliot too.
Romanian Ref for tonight, dishes out 5.2 yellow cards in Champions league games, that he’s been in charge. I don’t like our chances of getting through this one with no yellows going to any of the four.

    Tonight's lineups.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szobozslai, Salah, Jota, Diaz.

PSG: Donnarumma, Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz, Barcola, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia.

I'm worried about the fullback positions and Jota up front. We know the issues with Robbo and TAA, but Jota has also been woefully out of form. I hope my reverse jinx works as if not I can see us going out of the competition, even more so given our EC/CL record at Anfield when 1-0 up, something that has been repeatedly mentioned in the media.

    Team confirmed

    Alisson

    Trent Konate Van Dijk Robertson

    SloppySlai Gravenberch Mac Allister

    Salah Jota Diaz

Get the win, no excuses, focus tempo quality variation & runs in behind to thwart their press

In hindsight it probably would have made more sense to start with Darwin and then bring on Jota to work on more tired legs.

Jota is really taking a long time to get any sort of form. His work rate can't be questioned but nothing is going for him, he looks so short of match sharpness and he's had a fair few games now to get upto speed.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens with the attack. On one hand we have Diaz, he's constantly linked with a move away and then Nunez who just looks like he's going regardless but then there's Jota. His fitness record is awful so do they stick with him? Can we afford to carry him when we need to improve?

Yep... he's always well rusty after a lay off but finds form within a few games, this time - so far - he hasn't.

Part of why some have been concerned (much to the annoyance of others) despite being top of the table... is the fact that this summer is starting to look like major surgery will be needed. Especially IF Mo Salah leaves. The midfield is desperately in need of additions too. Those same lads cannot be expected to just keep going on and on. Grav has been a shadow of the player we saw before Christmas, Macca, despite the quality has looked very tired and Szobozlai has done a seasons worth of running in early March.

Did not understand the logic of starting Jota ahead of Darwin. Nunez terrorised their back line last week when he came on after Jota had been so ineffective and scored on and won the first penalty on Saturday.

Slot got that selection wrong for me I’m afraid.

He did Jota’s been piss poor for ages now ppl talked all about Nunez’s miss v Villa but Jota had 2 he only had the keeper to beat he once would have buried he blasted nowhere near the goal

Jota never should have been starting that game last night& it showed, he was woeful

Be interesting to see who gets the nod on Sunday. He might even go with that Diaz in the middle again if Gakpo is fit enough.
