That Alvarez pen…? WTF.. Brilliant Pen - he slips and IF there was contact - and I haven’t seen proof, it had job earring in the strike. If it was deemed to have had an effect - then it must surely be re taken.
To just rule it out…is bonkers and stinks to high heaven
I already congratulated them on title #16 after our exit yesterday.
I don't know how anybody else saw a different result than what we've seen today - or how anyone expects any different result in the final.
Maybe the meet Barca or Bayern in the final and one of the two of them who have Champions League winning experience might stop them, but I don't see anyone on this side of the draw stopping their march to the final.
PSG for all their heroics in ending our CL season will get dismantled by Ancelotti's experience and wileyness.
Villa have done well for themselves to get this far and if they get past PSG next round, they'll have had a most successful season beyond their wildest expectations even if their run ends after that (and it likely will).
Arsenal.....are.....well.....Arsenal.
We all know how they turn out when it's time to be counted.
But yeah, this is Madrid's title to lose.
Just seen the peno this morning. I can't see how anyone can with any certainty that there was a double touch. Even when slowed down to what I assume is the same speed and angle the VAR guys see there is zero conclusive evidence that there was a double touch.
Absolutely stinks.
Something, Something, Something, Dark Side
Total con job. No evidence of any contact prior to the strike.
Also EVEN if there is - surely VAR - rhat has determined contact where none can be spotted - can see far more clearly that he has slipped on the surface. Not a deliberate action - so surely a re take at the very least..?
The only reason to void that kind of pen is when advantage is sought. If Alvarez is magician enough to fake a slip and score off a double touch - then the man is a wizard not a footballer
I didn't see the game, what was Simeone's reaction? Did he go ballistic?
Something, Something, Something, Dark Side
Not really. He was just strangely trying to rally the crowd after they lost. Real players as you would expect were going mad.
Supporting Atletico must be a little bit like supporting Everyone, forever in the neighbors shadow. Actually no, nothing could be as bad supporting that lot.
Ancellotti is acting like a weasel too, the correct decision? Ah so you can see something that nobody else can? Just be honest.
Not one commentator, fan or pundit could see it.
It's completely inconclusive so he should have been given benefit of the doubt or a retake.
