This sort of performance has been on the cards for weeks now, the energy, belief and confidence have just been seeping away with each passing game… thankfully theInternational break couldn't have come at a better time for our squad…
Fingers crossed our players don’t suffer any injuries whilst they are away…
Oh yes congratulations to Newcastle, a well deserved victory and if I had to lose to any team in a Final, I think Newcastle is that team…70 fucking years… they deserve some joy, go and paint the town Red and thoroughly enjoy your victory…
Totally agree. the players were shot after midweek. They haven't had a break. Arguably slot has managed it better in that we don't attack for 90 minutes as we did with klopp.however our team has got weaker%as well as our squad. We haven't invested and so we have nunez who can't score, jota who can't score, Diaz who can't score. Salah who is knackered. Agree with other post that said slot is the fall guy. He's done great to get us this far. hope we can get over the line.
The Isak omission for the recent game at Anfield was clearly a tactical move. He was rested. Howe admitted post match that they came to Anfield determined not to show their hand.
This was a World or European Cup final for them.
Like i said earlier. we were so predictable with our line up and set up. Newcastle had plans for us..Gravenberch seems to a bit leggy. there was no midfielder that could break from the middle and run Newcastle the other way.. Jones did a bit of it when he came on.Maybe he should have started. But you never know what you will get with him.
we basically played flat today..no movement from the players off the ball. Newcastle just simply squashed us from the middle to our defence.. we didnt get any time on the ball. Our only out ball was long to wide areas. that doesnt work most of the time

Going back to Jota. in a way its not his fault to me hes a number 9 that plays up against defenders when hes around the box.. most players struggle as the number 9 if they are not extremely quick when the opposition press up the play and leave space behind. most players struggle as the loan number 9 again if they aint pacey..the long balls we played most of the game didnt help him.. salah looks facked at the moment maybe hes fasting and its taking its toll. or a long season is catching up on him..
