Wonder if Trent will do a u-turn on his Madrid move..
As long as he don't get the 300 grand a week purposed. I'd be happy with him staying if he chose too.. Hes not worth that.

also the problem with him staying and on that wage.Means he will be guaranteed to start over Bradley.. Bradley really needs to be first choice now..

will he?? hes growing into his body. stopping and starting football at high tensity won't help his body either.. Under 21s is fine but the PL is much more physically challenging

well he's already missed 16 games this season and it's not like he's started a lot

Hopefully you're right, but I think he's made of glass

Didn't think this or Salah was in much doubt, but just brilliant to have it confirmed.

We're in a good spot. Hopefully get a couple of the right additions in the Summer to compliment this and of course ensure we hang onto any of our other "stars".

From our Champion's League winning XI we would have, what - Alisson, Van Dijk, Trent, Robertson and Salah left, yes?

Our "leadership group" if you will. Trent will likely depart and Robertson's role will diminish a touch, but others are probably in the process of stepping in, like Mac Allister.

If we recruit well so that Slot trusts more than 15 players we're laughing. Realistically by keeping Salah and Van Dijk we are almost certainly remaining in the Champion's League (hopefully as a minimum!) for a couple more seasons, which really helps with the recruitment process as we gradually phase in the players that will be the primary components of the "next" team.

    Just brilliant.

I think with Slot and the medical staff.. Hamstring/Thigh injuries the players won't be rushed back as quickly.. Bradley may have been able to return 10/12 days earlier. but they chose to wait.. (just my opinion)..
has for being made of glass. he won't be the only player in football who struggles with the physical part of the game.. most teams have long line of injuries. all we can hope regarding Bradley is he gets the best medical help to remain fit for a long while

Think it's huge for attracting new players. Would be a hard sell to new players if they saw Van Dijk and Salah going out the door. This way we're keeping our most senior players. Hopefully we can build on this.

Indeed - if you aren't a left-sided centre-back or a right-wing-forward, you don't want to come here when Van Dijk and Salah depart.

As it stands, much better position. I hope we're sensible about it. I don't think we need an 8-in, 8-out sort of situation honestly. Probably more outgoings (numerically) than arrivals, but maybe 3-5 of the RIGHT players coming in would really lift us.
