Arsenal will make no attempt to sign Raheem Sterling from Chelsea after the 30-year-old English winger's underwhelming loan spell with the Gunners. (Express)

    Not too shabby.

He might not even play that much during that tourney and why would you want to have that be your new signing's introduction to the fans.
Especially when you consider that Frimpong will be paid in 3 annual installments. This has basically covered the first one "for free" as it were, which is a nice little assist when it comes to transfer flexibility, versus situations where we have to pay a large fee all in one go.

Brentford and Cameroon forward Bryan Mbeumo, 25, is hoping for wages of Ł250,000 a week - five times his current wage - if he joins Manchester United. (Times - subscription required)

And these will never learn.. paying unlimited amount of wages...

So it looks like Wirtz is really coming to Liverpool (still only believe it when there are pictures of him in the jersey). We have Frimpong already. Who's next and how many more do we realistically think we'll see incoming? I hope the money for Wirtz won't compromise our rebuild.

I think once the Wirtz and Kerkez deals are done we'll be waiting a bit for another. Outgoings will then be prioritised I'd think.

Think that's where we are at. Done our early business and more business dependent on sales.

    Trent, Kelleher & Tsimi off

Giorgi, Frimpong, Kerkez & Wirtz in

For me that's a fairly strong start to the window

Frimpong & Kerkez I hope are going to improve our starting 11, and Wirtz is an interesting addition.
He can play false9/CF versus tougher opponents, and across the 3 elsewhere playing 10 mostly.

Still left short at CB midfield to rotate with Grav/Maca and a proper striker

Doubt we'll get any of them and konate will probably leave next summer and we're left with a old VVD and Quansh and a broken gomez

    good init
