Explain to him the world cup is in 12 months and he will need a lot of playing time to to impress, sign a short extension one, two yrs and you will get that time ( if you stay fit ) and RM can buy you, it would be interesting to find out just how highly prized RM rate you. we are not the feeder club to the richest club in the world. stuff em

He’s going to have to go some to convince Deschamps after his recent diabolical form for France.

We can benefit IF he does

If Konate stays but doesn't sign a new contract, one of the issues with that could well be that he does a TAA and the amount of effort he puts in drops off a cliff.

Get him signed up on a reasonable contract or get in a couple of good quality CBs asap. Even if Konate does sign a new contract, we need to get in some new defenders in order to both provide us with some immediate cover for the CB positions, and to start preparing for life without Van Dijk.

Not the best or ideal..... but wouldn't Jonathan David on a free still be better than Nunez he knows how to find the net, and he'll probably get more chances to score here.

If it means we can spend money on a CB/CM ?

Doing the rounds on social media, inc daveockop, liverpoolgoals etc. No one too reliable yet but

Quansah to join Tent Peg at Leverkusen and Guehi (in the last year of his contract) to Liverpool

Guehi would be amazing. I see him and Virgil as the main components of an unbreakable back line.

We "may" end up with Isak. If Diaz stays that will put an end to the Gordon rumours. which would be great.. I prefer Diaz to him any day. I hope we keep Gakpo as well. i really rate him

do you think he would be an improvement on Konate?? I like Konate but theres still sometimes he makes the odd error. though he had a good season last.

Konate is a big unit and very quick but he’s had pretty regular injury problems and does go through some bouts of very poor form. Far from irreplaceable for me.

If we're selling homegrown Quansah maybe it's because we're confident of signing Guehi who's also homegrown.

The selling Quansah part seems nailed on anyway.
