Can I ask in what world Hugo Ekitike is worth anywhere near £85m???

We’d be just as well keeping hold of Darwin.

Sounds ridiculous don’t it - But then again in 1992 the entire TV revenue for Premier league clubs was…. Drum roll… £11 million. Today it’s at £1.3 Billion and counting.

So - we are talking about todays revenue from TV being 118 times bigger than it was in 1992……So IF player fees increased relative to TV revenue increase…then if a £3,6 million Alan shearer (his cost in 1992) was to be revalued today - he would be worth…..Drum roll…. and this is nuts with Brazil’s on top - a value of £424,000,000!!

Kinda makes you realise how the sport has changed and fallen in line with US sports. This is before we touch on merchandising and Sponsorships..

Manchester United and England's Marcus Rashford, 27, is Barcelona's top left-wing target after the Spanish club failed with moves for Liverpool's Colombian forward Luis Diaz, 28, and 22-year-old Spaniard Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao. (Sky Sports)

When will some people LISTEN, Barca do not have the funds for Diaz. and we ain't selling him to them for peanuts. even if thats Diaz's preferred destination

I think we'll keep Diaz and Nunez this season has the club won't accept the fees offered and that usually means we keep the players. Maybe if Saudi Arabian clubs come in with huge offers then maybe they'll leave ..
Konate will want to go on a free. so be pretty difficult to shift him. Elliot will probably go and we'll use some of the money to get a new forward. who ever that is. time will tell.

    Signing Guehi might shift him.

If he's set on Madrid and they will do a Trent on us and get him next summer for nothing.. Nothing will shift him.
Its a bit of pain for the club, means we are relying on him to perform when his chances come.. And means we can't really get in a replacement. Obviously Guehi is Quansah's place in the squad though a starter

Speaking on my last comment regarding Konate there are rumours he's headed to Madrid this summer. so lets see what happens. just the likes of Madrid love playing stupid games with other teams.. So they could easily wait another few months..

Yeah for sure it looks like Konate is doing a Trent but if Guehi comes in then he'll be doing a Konate and sitting out most of the season. Or he moves
