Ekitike does look good from a technical standpoint, however the things that are worrying some are whether he is robust enough to succeed in the PL, and his finishing. Last season he scored five goals less than his xG, whilst in comparison Mbuemo exceeded his xG by eight goals.

I've got a feeling in terms of a CB, we might keep our powder dry and allow Konate to leave on a free next summer, while at the same time picking up Guehi for free.
Guehi comes in as first choice, just like he wanted, we don't lose out with Konate fee, as we're doing to same thing to Palace.

My main concern with Konate possibly leaving on a free is that he could do a TAA and decide to put in little effort from the get-go, with that lack of effort decreasing even further as the season progresses.

Could always look at the lad we scouted before - Koulierakis - probably wouldn't cost much more than what we got for Quansah and is left-footed, so potentially a depth option on Van Dijk's side in the long-term.
