Manchester United are weighing up whether to make a bid for Crystal Palace and England midfielder Adam Wharton, 21. (Talksport) looks like he could head man-15th

Maybe Newcastle think if they are really stubborn and don't budge, Isak will have no other option but to eat humble pie, apologise and with some awkwardness be re-integrated into the team. There might even be some logic in that.
If that proved to be true and we have all that Isak money burning a hole in our pocket, then I think we should make Athletico an offer for Alvarez that they can't refuse.
And who else is there out there at the level we need?

It just seems Newcastle don't know what they are doing at the top. There has to be a point where you take a record transfer fee but give yourself enough time to rebuild.
Why didn't they try for Grealish, Harvey, Kelleher, Darwin????lol but it seems there's quite a few little bargains out there who are being snapped up by everyone else..... When FSG first came in we always did those bargain basement deals

sort out the CB area, then we're sorted at the back for years to come... for sure.

    Sort out a LW
The links with Guehi have gone very quiet. Hopefully we haven't stopped due to signing Leoni.

Who would want to go there, if you had any confidence of improving your game, getting noticed going to a bigger club.

I mean what player would want a career path where the go to bigger clubs with a chance of winning the biggest trophies??

Newcastle are a small time club with a small time attitude

A January move for considerably less than their current asking price wouldn't be a huge shock, but then if we weren't careful with our offer they could simply hold onto him for the closing months.

    Haven't I read he's recently signed a 3 year contract?

You're probably a better authority to speak on what you have and haven't read than I am redebreck

Unless there has been some major update or I have missed something (both entirely plausible) Guehi is still out-of-contract in the Summer.

I wonder if any conspiracy theorists believe we were happy to see Guehi stay at Palace a tad longer in the hope they kept a clean sheet against Chelsea
