It’s a sickener. We have bad luck with Italians don’t we… Sweet lord.

It’s a long road just to get back to where he was this time last week. Wishing him the best

Absolutely, problem is if Palace are still in Europe and doing okay in the league there's probably zero chance of landing Geuhi which might mean they move onto another target.

If we still want him we will.get him
Think there would have been words behind scenes at palace and they will take a smaller fee over losing him for nothing in the summer

I wonder if Real Madrid will sniff about for a bargain deal Konate in January

We'll say no, will let him leave on a free like trent

We need to bring in a CB not lose another one.

the cheap price they'll offer 10-20m it's not worh losing him unless we're out of everything and behind in the title race by a lot which I don't think will happen, surely not.

All the changes and big money spent.. for some reason CB was neglected apart from a very promsing kid, we should've cashed in on konate and get the CB position sorted, for some reason we enjoy letting players leave on a free, like we're owned by Saudis..

Can't see us spending big in the future, we won't be able too another reason we should've cashed in, all I want is CB's a CDM to replace endo, and a attacker like Jota who can play across the front 3 then this squad is done, well until VVD&Salah go, not long left sadly.

At least we've got Rhys williams, who got relegated with morecambe last season i'm pretty sure from league 2

We’ve recouped Ł300,000,000 last time I checked tho… With Konate it’s true we should have ‘at the very least’ brought in a direct replacement while he’s running the minutes down. That was Guehi, but that boat which we somehow (genuinely don’t know) managed to all but dock - has turned back out to sea and imo….sailed.

The Real Madrid issue is one that isn’t going to magically disappear for the foreseeable and again…tho I am by no means a fan of F$G - not sure how they combat this problem faced - in varying degrees - by all clubs.

All we can do is hope that they believe in the manager and in the project enough to want to stay. Not going down that road again..: as I have explained to exhaustion the reasons why - for me at least - Real are so desirable and why it’s harder for us in the north west to defend against than it is for a smaller far less successful club in the capital.

What would you suggest we do to combat Real…?

Sort contracts before the final year, say year and a half if you don't sign you can leave, that's the only thing they can do really, yes I know players can reject other clubs etc

Should've been sorted a while ago- or sold, sadly that's the only thing, obviously it's a different story if a player is over 30
