You know with Mo and Gakpo exactly what they are going to do every time they get the ball.

Diaz offered something different, he could cut inside, take the player on the outside. You never knew with him and we miss that.
Someone needs to tell mo that there's no point trying to take on 3 men. You're never going to beat them. He tried it again last night. Wasn't as bad last night but still lost the ball needlessly. Also tell him he needs to find others. His shooting is never gonna get us a goal . He's missing that turn of pace to get the shot away.

Him and gakpo are very predictable. No byline crosses from either which would suit isak/etikite. My sons football team is better coached. Even if new signings aren't what Slot wanted, he has to use them better. Like it or not the first team manager role has changed in most cases.

Funny how a lot of today’s headlines focuses on Salah not being happy on the bench.

What about the Manager who is showing week after week that he doesn’t have a clue what to do with this team??

He’s trying to make a team that won the toughest league to win last season all accommodate Wirtz at No10

No team has a superstar player these days and if we did there’d be several we’d all choose ahead of Wirtz

Wirtz for me is the biggest mistake, bigger still than Diaz going. Not just the player himself or even his price tag, it’s the decision to rip up the winning blueprint and change formation and tactics.

    Absolute mess.

The biggest mistake could end up being Slot. The team were so used to each other and the style that perhaps any manager might have won the league last season. Especially with Arsenal and City having poor ones and dropping out so early. Reminds me of the titles Manutd used to win before the Chelsea and City riches.

I've said it in the other thread, I agree about Diaz being a mistake. He was unique and is not even close to being replaced. To me, the buys of Wirtz and Isak almost seem like the owners didn't want to lose 'face' again and be ridiculed after the sagas with all the players Chelsea beat us on.

That said, we still have some of the best players - especially in attack, in the world. You cannot tell me that most of the losses like 3 fucking nil at home to forest are a reflection of the current squads abilities.
I agree we do not have the depth to challenge arsenal this season, and even city, but cmon.

Almost everything else is down to slot.

We were atrocious in attack yesterday and most of the season tbf, with all we've spent in that area.
With the subs, Slot could have taken gomez off, put on Endo to control the MF even more, and considered bringing on Chiesa earlier. I'm actually amazed he took off gakpo so early, but if it wasn't for salah I'm certain he'd have persisted with this for 85' then asked Rio or someone to win us the game.

Now, maybe this change would have backfired too and the result would have been the same (or worse without that clearance).
But this is why Slot is being paid the big bucks.

I would say he is currently less deserving of it than Konate and Salah.
