You just replied to it. The rumours that “higher ups” want rid of Salah. They had all summer and ample opportunity to get rid of him but chose to keep him. Unlike glory hunters, I doubt they change their minds depending on which way the wind is blowing.
It looks far more likely that Salah wants out, now that he’s on the bench.

Not specifically. It was for those who would have been in “uproar” (your word) if we hadn’t gave Salah the bumper contract he was looking.
It’s hard to debunk conspiracy theorists and those who get their info from Internet rumours. If you really believe the club are out to get Mo then I won’t change your mind.

OK so you can't debunk the rumours. Fair enough, I didn't think you could, unless you were working for the club on the inside and had proper evidence.
I think 99% of fans wanted Mo to get the contract after last season. The up roar (yes I used it) was in relation to your claime that the club would have sold him in the summer if they wanted. I just don't think they would have done that after his performance last year.
Looking at it as of today, I think the club realise they messed up recruitment in the summer. They know we need a cb and a LW. Salah is playing crap and have decided to cash in on him to get the other positions. Again, nothing more than an opinion on my side.
If this turns out to be true then it will be a shame in how they have treated Salah after all he has done.
Which is exactly what I expected your opinion to be. Why else would you post rumours from the Internet on this unless they aligned with your beliefs? You should have just said that up front and dropped the facade that both things can be true. They really can't. Either Salah wants to stay or Salah wants to leave.
It's probably much easier for you to think that "The Club" want rid of Salah, than to believe that Salah himself wants out. That way you get to be angry at a bunch of people you never see.
There is no way the club are regretting their signings at this point.
And if the fact that we kept Salah and gave him a bumper contract isn't enough evidence that we don't actually want to sell him, then I'm not sure what else you'd accept.

I know you are forming your opinion from my posts. But it isn't easier for me to believe the club want him. Its my opinion based on what I see unfolding. Maybe I'm being duped by Salah, maybe I'm being duped by the "rumours" but right now that's how I see it based on what I'm reading. And I did say this is where I currently stand. I'm not hiding that. I also said, salah was wrong for running to the media.
But right now, we don't really know so I'm still open to the option of salah orchestrsting it all. Opinions change as evidence is revealed. Maybe, I should wait until all is revealed but I thought the point of a forum is to discuss things.
I could say, its easy for you to believe that salah wants out and is trying to blame the club because you are aligned with the club and are on the pay roll and want to make salah look like the bad guy. I have absolutely no proof other than your posts and how you seem to always see no wrong doing on their side.
Also, I didn't say they were regretting their signings, I said they messed up. Tonarody that, I meant they messed up by not getting a cb and a proper replacement for Diaz.
Fair enough. Ignoring rumours for second and focusing on what is actually happening, what I see is Salah running to the media to criticise Slot. It looks like an attempt to garner sympathy from the fans so that when he leaves in January we all think he had a plausible excuse. Players and their agents are very PR savvy.
If the club were actually looking rid of Salah though, I'd expect them to be leaking to the media. Not giving him a massive a contract a few months ago.
Could I be interpreting that wrong? Yes, absolutely. And we'll probably never know. But I'm not basing my opinion on rumours. Maybe Arne and Mo will have a hug and it all ends well.

There you go, I think we are of similar approach to the situation, we just happen to fall on different sides of it. The thing is, we will never know the truth.
Its funny how people see things differently when looking at the same things. But that's life.
Im off to work soon so will be dropping off. Just incase you think I'm ignoring you.
On the media leak, there was a massive hit piece from Paul Joyce yeaterday. Could that be the club planting seeds? A journalist with links to the club putting out a piece like that.
Yes for sure. The club are responding at a minimum. It doesn't look good now that both side have gone to the press and suggests there is no reconcilliation to be had. At the current rate Mo is likely to be gone in January unless something drastically changes.
It's a funny old game though. If Mo were to play and bag a couple against Inter all would likely be forgiven.
