Thats very poor. Thats not a system for success

If you cannot motivate players without spending Ł113 million on a potential replacement - you are fooked royally.
If you need a mananger to tell your star striker how to shoot then i'm not sure that's any better tbh.

Slot is 100% hamstringing the side at the moment. But he is and has been let down by a few this season. And Mo has been one of them. Almost to a man we all wanted him dropped.

Who was motivating the side last season?

You tell me.. but very likely Klopp's battle cry. Don't forget the squad wasn't touched. That's almost unheard of.... The regulars were - as you wre.. and the Klopp 2.0 midfield were just embarking on a second season together. Slot is just head coach, very little changed for the season before save an injury smashed Arsenal and a 115 points sulking City and crucially almost ZERO injuries.

Perhaps Diaz was far better than many want to credit him with too. But the rock solid mentality Klopp drummed into them remained for a long spell.

This is my own personal view..

Like Bob did? Or Kenny? Or Houllier? Or Rafa?

    What a load of shite.

Bob brought in top quality players almost every season.. We had that kudos from the Shankly era. Kenny spent a fortune... Houllier and Rafa never won a title but both did Great Rafa - amazingly well considering..

Do you actually know anything about Liverpool FC & football in general jokestrap?

You don't need to know much about LFC to know that you're talking shite.

Shanks, Bob, Kenny, Houllier, Rafa, Jurgen.

All very different types of manager. All successful in their own way.

For you to think that the chest thumping, charasmatic style of Klopp's is the only way shows that you are very immature. It was great for him. It won't work for other managers.

Except it was his (Jurgen's) team that won the title last season.
    Go on say different.

Slot has a loooong way to go to be mentioned in this bracket and does not deserve to be on the flag.. Not yet at least. They all toiled to build teams to win. He inherited one - lock stock and barrel.

We've already been through that. Slot got far more out of that team than Jurgen did. That's just a fact. I'll post the link here to the proof https://forums.lfconline.co.uk/showt...32#post2880732

That links proves my point.. Any Liverpool fan knows the difference in the seasons.

That season being compared to the season where Klopp took a broken midfield and 67 points to a near quad and 82 points DESPITE and entirely new midfield - DESPITE record Injuries AND announcing he would leave mid way through a season when we were top of the pile.. Same team last season and NO injuries and NO rivals ...took 2 points more. No hint of a quad out of the CL at first knockings - bombed outta the FA cup by Plymouth and bullied by the Toon at Wembley..

One thing.. It was the same team..Klopps team. tell us who built it..? How long had he had with that team?
This is where you have a problem.

    AGAIN

It was Jurgen's team that won the title last season.

There you go again. Speaking for all LFC fans. Just stop.

Why didn't Jurgen win the league with that team? The answer, he didn't get them playing as well as Slot did.
