Not obsessed with Wirtz but we did spend a huge amount on him and Isak and we are getting very little in return.
Pointless commenting on Isak when he’s hardly played and is out injured.

I would have expected more from a transfer that broke the British Transfer record, both of them in fact.

My issue, as I have repeatedly pointed out, is that there was another tried and tested option right on our doorstep but we took a huge risk instead, spending £100m on a young lad who had only previously shone in an inferior league and this is the consequence.

The other frustration is that we didn’t play with a 10, so risking so much on an untried young player in a position we didn’t play, was absolute batshit bonkers to me.

He is a high profile player, playing virtually every game and while that is the case, I will comment on his performances as I see them.

Same with every other player who plays for my club. It’s what a Forum is for. The Forum is not for happy clappy blind support of everyone and everything to do with the club. It’s for expressing opinions and opening debate.

I really don’t know why you get such a hard on for someone saying something negative about a player on a forum… chill out Kev.. it’s fine to have a different opinion on players and the manager it really is.

I don’t come on here to change your opinion or tell you you’re talking bollocks, even when you are. I also don’t get offended when someone has a different opinion to you.

We'll agree to disagree... as I previously said many examples of players being average in first season in prem then turning out class, especially young players like Wirtz..... not to mention he's walked into a shitshow&unsettled squad and a player death

I just struggle to get over how you don't rate what he did in germany and suddenly think he's shit it's a bit strange, there's obviously a player there.

Also don't understand why the rest of team get a free pass- was it his fault we paid 100m for him? the joke is 135m for isak with his injury problems and newcastle fans said he couldn't even last 90 minutes, but heyho

Got it so terribly wrong in the summer.

But I just think you're being a bit harsh on Wirtz imo and using him as a scapegoat, it's almost like 19xs past obsessions with certain players, you've got a brain.... use it, so I'll continue to stick up for him whilst you slag him off, because in the end, you'll be wrong and i will call it out when you're hating on a new lad in a new league / country to him who's 22 for fuck sakes and walked into this, I expected better of you.
