Probably. Cause it’s apparent that too many players are looking to be in space for Wirtz to play one twos with as part of Slot’s plan to install him as a designated playmaker

We have a lot of other players who can make things happen and did when the team was the star and they all moved better off each other with great automation because they were all so tuned to each others positioning and movement and opposition players positions as, well that’s what a top class press and counter press does for you

But other players aren’t trying as much to make things happen or being direct when it’s on or to mix it up, pick up and press or counter press because they’re clearly under instruction to be the walls to try and make Wirtz run the show, it’s a shit idea

We will never get more than we had with the team as the star trying to use Wirtz like that, thrn what would happen if he were out?

It will only serve to make us as average as we were under Evan’s and as poor as we were then when MacManaman who was miles better than Wirtz wasn’t available

How have we played when Wirtz hasn’t been involved? Were we much/any better?

Well we haven’t looked any better when he has played either.

We have been awful all season, playing maybe two or three good full games out of around 30 so far.

You can’t argue that a player is good because we haven’t been any better when he hasn’t played.
