However we might be old bastards but watching the lads we had play as they did in our youth growing up was something else

Problem arguing about that is that we won a title NOT playing in a 4-3-3 too often last season. Szobsoslai played a lot of games as a 10. We played a lot of games, or large portions of games playing a 4-2-4.

And this is why Slot deserves his credit for winning the title last season. The idea that he's just taken Jurgen's team and just told them to carry on 'as you were' from last season is just laughable. It was quite clearly a different set-up from Jurgen's side. And it was just as effective.

The problem for Slot is that he's changed it again, but this time it's not working.

We'll see how stubborn he is, in how he sets us up going forward. If he continues the set up we're currently employing, we'll continue to struggle and he'll get the sack.

I remember klopp trying the 4 2 3 1 to use shaqiri as the 10 against southampton,3 nil up at half time but klopp wasnt happy as it asked to much of hendo & fab and left us open and klopp changed it at half time.
Looks like other teams have worked out how to play us with ball over the top.wirtz not as defensive as dom,no diaz,salah dropped off the pace.
